Any idea what a mint 2003 YZ250F would be worth in todays money? From what I can tell 10-20hrs of use.
Any thoughts on future value, increasing by much?

Hard to say I think the 2001/02 will be the bikes people are after to make Fonseca replicas!

Laughing I kept my 2001 because it was worth like... nothing. It does have damn near every trick bit known to man on it from back in the day. Ti, mag, carbon, anything that us mortals could get our hands on went on it. That turd actually started to handle pretty well with 20 pounds knocked off of it.

Between $1500 and $2000. In the future it will be worth less, and less, and less, and less.

I don't see the value increasing on one of those unless it's still in crate. But I could be wrong

Why the hell would you want a 15 year old 250F?

$1500 at the most. I see too many 2008 ish ones for $2000-$2500 on craigslist and facebook to justify buying an 03 for that. Condition doesnt matter when you look at how fast the 4 strokes progressed between 2000 and 2010.

Used carbureted 250f bikes are hard to sell, because they are turds for the most part.coming from the buyer of a used carb 250f

I had a 2004 model for 2 years, Bought it from a pro rider 1 year old even. Rode it for 2 years and never had a single issue with the engine or top end, performed routine maintenance and it was a great bike! Friend of mine had a 03, way more hours on it and he never had a issue either. Great Bikes!

The 5 valve yamahas are about as reliable as a 250F gets. That bike should give you many years of trouble free service if maintained properly.

looks great, pretty rare in that condition, and at the right price and kept like that it will increase in value..
some guys here who are ragging on it would grab it in split sec if they had the money...

They were pretty decent. Reliable. $1500 for a clean one would be a good get.
