You have a valid point. The correct way to look at it is if you get something for free on the internet, it’s very likely you are the product the site is selling (aka data and eyeballs to advertisers).

With that being said, I hope you can understand how we are the reason this site stays in business and can employ some folks as well.

Correct.

I will never understand this "we are your customers" logic

In sales, commerce and economics, a customer (sometimes known as a client, buyer, or purchaser) is the recipient of a good, service, product or an idea - obtained from a seller, vendor, or supplier via a financial transaction or exchange for money or some other valuable consideration.

Ps: Vitards will come and go..........I'm sure the forum will survive without a few dissatisfied customers.

I agree with you and I understand how the site stays in business.

However, I hope you understand that as non paying customers, we don't have the "right" to demand or tell the mods how to manage the site.

In public forums the only thing we are entitle to is our opinion.

You are correct. We do not have that “right.” However, appears that some are expressing their opinion regarding how the site is managed in this post, as well as how it may be a good idea to listen to said opinion because their product can jump off the shelf and walk out the door. The mentality of “I’m sure the site will survive without a few dissatisfied customers (this seems to conflict with the rest of your post)” isn’t how I would approach it. Ultimately, it is their choice though.

I agree with you about the speed of some GP riders. If you don't like how you're treated here, open your own forum. Maybe a few of us will drop in. How about "EssentialMXGP" for your forum name?

It's like arguing that the Earth is round. The Internet has changed the status quo. Traffic generates money through ad's. This is nothing new and not even worth arguing about. It is a fact! I would explain the obvious but if you're missing it already, then what's the point. You condone censorship and forum manipulation, good for you!
Maybe those calling others Vitards need to understand the reality in 2018.

I would also like to add that posts are being deleted by moderators without any notice, just because somebody doesn't like it.. I didn't insult anyone, my posts were within forums' rules and yet they get deleted. My point is that if you delete someone's post, then let him know why. I was a moderator on a much larger IT forum and we weren't allowed to delete anything without noticing a user.

There's an adult solution to this; if the place doesn't suit you, find another that does.

Has nothing to do with paying or not. Visiting this site, contributing, makes this website money. That is a fact. I am simply pointing out an over zealous mentality when it comes to censorship and forum manipulation. I don't know why people would defend it, it's not a positive attribute. I understand the need for moderation, Vital has simply taken it to levels I don't see elsewhere.

After your rants about Roczen being better than all but one American(actually 2 because Barcia beat him and is still ahead of him in points), I'd say you're the one that is bias.

I love this forum and ML512 and GuyB do a great job.

Much TY

Actually, that's not a solution! That's someone being a blowhard and defending a childish mentality, while displaying one of their own.

I know I'm not the only one that sees the problem, just too many people that go along with it. Stand up for what's right people and think for yourself!

No, it's a pop-quiz to see how quick a learner you are. If you're going to go out in a blaze of glory, make sure that the last one is really good. Smile

Was your post one that quoted someone else? If the original post is deleted, the ones that quote it also go. Just an FYI.

You have zero tolerance when people disagree with you. What I find interesting is your allowance of those that attack others, on your behalf. Regardless if you like it or not, my point is valid and has been expressed many times. I have done nothing disrespectful and any harsh words are simply retaliatory.

What have I done to deserve ANY judgement?

Here's a short list of things I object to...

Unless you're a disgruntled repeat customer or a longtime lurker, you've been here for what...five days? It's generally not a good look for a noob to come in and tell someone how they should run the place. I think one of the "rules" for forum participation is to get a feel for it. Sometimes that means doing more reading than posting. Coming in on week one and trying to be the 400-pound gorilla usually isn't going to work that well.

Your rants about various MSM outlets (now deleted) in the Dumbgeon thread didn't go unnoticed. We don't do religion or politics in here...except MAYBE where it relates to the sport.

I think I have a certain amount of patience for opposing viewpoints. But it's not an infinite amount, especially if the forum member is attempting to be disruptive. In other words, settle down, Beavis.

If you don't like it go back to being a lurker and post somewhere else. This is not the only MX forum.

Ah yeah. The old freedom of speech argument. This is a private forum where you do have freedom of speech, but you don't have the freedom to be an assh...well, you get the idea. (See? I censored myself, too.) Wink

So if it was a diagram, it'd look something like this.

Useful member of the forum.
