if you’re doing 360s and backflips while racing, it’s not the games fault...you just suck. i can leave the face of a jump and do a backflip and flail all around in real life but that doesn’t make life unrealistic...it means i suck. freedom in motocross games is what is needed, learning how to control the bike is what you need to do. you can do all that stuff in mxsim as well

It is much different from MES. But when you give it time, I think it is a much better game. The amount of control that you have with the bike is amazing.

If you go into it with an open mind, I think you'll enjoy it quite a bit. But it definitely takes determination to figure it out. Once you do, its awesome.

Let me know what you decide SPODEBOY.

I don't know, I didn't buy this one. All I know is that I follow MX vs ATV on Twitter and all they post are ridiculous videos of people doing 200'+ jumps with all of these crazy stunt combos. Seems pretty fake to me. Trash physics.

The beauty of this game is that the ~20-30 or so fastest riders who do understand the physics of this game, are meeting up nightly to have battles of a lifetime. You truly can not go around the same track twice, the same way. Constantly swapping lines, checking up, attempting risky big lines, and most of all, the track deformation FORCES you to change it up. The people I have met in this game vs. mxsim vs. MXGP/MES are the friendliest, good-time having community I have ever been apart of.

You don't own the game and you think the physics are trash? Did you think also boobs were trash before you saw your first pair?

LOL, I'm just fking with ya'll. I just thought that zehn's comment about "trash physics" was amusing considering all of the other-worldly stuff that I see posted on MXATV's Twitter. Carry on. Any by the way, boobs have never been trash. They felt as good in person as they looked on the crumpled page from Playboy that I stashed in my room (as a kid...of course).

While I enjoy the physics of this game, even if it is a bit too unrealistically “floaty”, this game is so trash Bc the developers lack proper prioritization on updates. Instead of releasing new content first how about we fix the fact that private lobbies are still visible to the public lmao or the fact that the leaderboard is NEVER correct after a race especially if someone quits mid race.

Thanks for the heads up.

Reading how the game is progressing (at least for the XBOX) is not encouraging. LoL. And I do understand it will take tolerance and an open mind in order to learn and accept the game for what it is. I think out of shear curiosity I will eventually spend the money. But..

From what I see in videos, and read I think it would just be much better if they took the advice of everyone who has played many years of SX/MX video games and shoot for realism.

I don't mean to slam them, but after MVA Supercross & Encore they took a huge beating on social media etc. I played that game for thousands of hours from day one up until Milestone's game. Nearly 4 years. Have not played it since.

It would be my dream (and Flatout911's) to buy a game that is awesome from your first few minutes of game play. It would be so awesome that it would sell itself to the player instead of the player having to ingest a Prozac in order to learn it.

Milestone's is close. But they too have done some things too where I scratch my head?

Oh well some day maybe.

dude i loved mesx to death. that is a great game. but all out is much better then it. and that’s after putting in a fair amount of time to learn how the game is meant to be played. you have so much control over the bike and every aspect of moving the stick has an effect in cornering and on faces of jumps. if you hold forward going off a face youlll stay a little lower like your soaking it up, you can scrub, whip, out the bike wherever you want. in corners, same thing, leaning forward or backward or anywhere in between you get a different turn radius. i play in first person view and i couldn’t be happier. the game is very good. i went back and played some mesx and it felt stiff as a board. between the open maps and the national tracks that have soooo many different lines, the game has a lot to do as well. but you have to give it some time. it kinda doesn’t feel “right” at first play and i realize that, but i think it’s becuae it’s so different in terms of physics and feel. but it’s really good. you’re way too into dirtbike games to be missing out on all out

the people you hear about bitching online about the game, i really belive they are the minority. everyone else is busy enjoying the game. even the ones that bitch about something, still go play it and have fun. they just bitch about something they want becuase it’s easy to. there’s a ton of people online that think this is the best moto game ever made

i can’t even begin to describe the types of races and battles in involved in on a nightly basis. and i’ve races online with all the games.

Finally get to play again tonight after a month away. Holter and I were very similar in speed before I left but no doubt he’s gonna wreck me again. Lol.

Not to be stand-offish Doc but I will never buy another MXGP game unless they make massive improvements in the game. I can’t stand to play it after buying MXGP 1-3. MXGP Pro looks like more of the same although they claim the whips aren’t canned or whatever you want to call it. The gameplay videos look like more of the same to me.

i almost feel like the game is too good for the average dirtbike game player. yes it’s an arcade game but the physics, used to its full potential involves quite a skill gap. and that’s why there’s so many people that trash the game. they suck at it. and being “fast” isn’t beating the pro AI. like i’ve said before, you may think you’re good and playing the game right, but if you’re complaining about the physics then i really think it’s because you’re doing something wrong. of course there will be people who hate the game, i get that, but like the other guy said, the battles, the ability to take different lines, the options, how each lap feels different...it’s just an amazing game. there was a time after i think 1.04 patch that i was piiiiissed with the game but i knew it would get fixed. of course there’s some problems with matchmaking and stuff but idc, the core of the game, the physics, are excellent. i only keep talking about it because i’m a hardcore moto gamer, it’s literally all i play, and i want other moto people to enjoy what me and these guys online are enjoying and the excitement we are having racing. when i hear someone influencing someone else’s decision on buying the game negatively and then come find out they havnt even played the game, that fuckin annoys me. AGAIN, everyone bitched about reflex and now everyone wants reflex “2.0”. lol. it’s so silly. this game is leaps and bounds better then reflex. i used to hate the national tracks on all out but once again i kept playing and now they are just unreal awesome. the stuff i see now that i didn’t see before is actually kinda weird. like how didn’t i see/experience this the first few times i played it.

idk, just get the game and keep playing, if you have any sense of what it feels like to “flow” in real life on a dirtbike, you’ll enjoy the game. plus, the devs are putting quite some time into it and we have dlc coming out. it’s gettig better and better. but just like anything in life really, don’t let negative people influence your decision about something, find out for yourself

The physics in this game are the best of any MX game so far. Reflex was fun but not very realistic, All Out is the perfect balance of realism while still being loose and fun. I agree with Holtergeist, the people who are complaining probably just don't have it figured out yet.
