I love how they threw the 100% of the time stuff in there again right towards the end of the race. Guess what guys, we get it. If he is such a fucking badass then maybe he shouldn't crash.

Although I agree Ralph is a bit of a bone head I think Emig did really well this week. I thought his Pastrana interview was pretty good and he straightened Ralph out a few times during the race where he needed straightening out.

yes! I caught that. Overall I think Ralph and Jeff do a good job, but their chemistry is lacking (ie, talking over each other, not feeding off each other, etc.). I think Ralph's biggest problem is that he tries to fill the downtime too much and he's just not that knowledgeable about the sport. In stick and ball sports the commentators are true fans and probably follow every statistic. While Ralph may be a fan (and even Todd Harris before him), I don't think he "lives" the sport like we all do.

Also, the hyperboles are really worn out at this point.

But...I have to say this is way better than 1991 with Larry Maiers. I think that was the year that he and Dave Despain did the commentary, and they basically made a mockery of the sport by making jokes and laughing at everything. Larry also talked about JMB the same way Ralph talks about Stewart.

The best spot I've ever seen was Daytona ('05?) when they did the helmet cam from Carmichael chasing Reed, with NO DIALOGUE for 1 lap. That gave such a great feeling of what it was to be out there. They have had some good spots since then, but haven't really been able to capture that again completely.

It is hard to please both the hardcore motocrossers and the casual viewer, I think they do an ok job,just could cut down on the 'fastest man on the planet thing'

I enjoy Emigs insight of a past champion. Keep Emig and bring RJ in and have two color guys.....

btw...I like watching Stewart ride, but was bummed that K-Dub got a heat win and didn't even get to watch him.

emigs not bad actually. not my favorite, but he does a decent job. the spectrum is just too wide, from the former pro to the guy who is doing this as just a job.

I think Sheheen needs to go. Noticed he was saying something about nobody being able to touch Grant as Reed passed him like it was nothing with Stewart close behind. I also think its crap that Windham gets the heat win and we had to watch Stewart finish his heat to take 9th place. Nobody else who gets 9th place is followed by the camera and Windham deserved the recognition. We were there and the crowd let Windham know he did a great job. Also wish they'd recognize other riders who are out there - they worked their asses off to get into the qualifier and it's always the same people that are featured on speed tv.
