Interesting. That makes much more sense.

i had a chance to play for about 20 minutes the other day on the 1.05 patch and i must say the physics got even better. really like the weight of the bike in the air. first person mode is absolutely amazing now. love it.

still can't understand how some people still hate on it. IMO it's superior to the other game in every way (except the graphics and track editor, the track editor is pretty badass)

agreed. they replied to me and said they’ve gotten plenty of messages about handling and overall game speed/momentum and they’re looking into.

i havnt complained about a single thing with this game from release. but there is something wrong with what they did with 1.05. somethings up when i go from pretty damn fast and winning a TON of races online to jumping off the track all the time and barely getting through sections. i’m talking a night and day difference.

like i was explaining to someone else...you used to be able to make small corrections with the stick, now it’s like 30% of the stick doesn’t provide movement to the bike/rider. so you have to push the stick all the way to the side to get the rider to move. there’s a dead zone. i can’t make little adjustments, it’s all or nothing. between that and the inability to really gain speed/momentum like you used to totally sucks. if you love 1.05 then i’m pretty sure you never got to the speed/momentum that you could in 1.04, because if you had, you would notice the difference.

it’s frustrating when you’re used to going a certain speed with a certain momentum and then all a sudden everything feels different. someone from rainbow told me they didn’t intentionally do anything or make changes to the physics. so that tells me what i’m experiencing shouldn’t be happening and it obviously wasn’t intended by them.

again, this is coming from someone who hasn’t complained about FR, or online. bottom line is what i’m feeling isn’t intentional by the devs
You just haven't put in enough time to play it and get used to it. Just keep playing it. It's waaaayyyyyy better. Like seriously, light-years better.

You can't play the 1.05 game like the 1.04 game, bro. Put more time in it to re-learn it.

Hey guys, I need some advice. I’m thinking of buying this game, but not sure if I should get xbox one version or pc version. I kind of want the Xbox version more because I don’t use my Xbox much and it’s nice to just sit on the couch and turn the Xbox on to play casually then having to sit at the computer desk. Anyways, let me know. Not trying to get annoyed with horrible FPS issues. If it’s anytbing like MES frame issues then I can deal with it.

I know man I wish I would’ve bought the PS4 4 years ago instead of my XBOX. I used to rag the PS4 when it first came out but now it’s definitley the better system and all my Xbox friends had gotten the PS4 lol. I mostly play PC unless I’m playing MES on my Xbox. PS4 isn’t in the budget

i hear ya and that’s what i’m doing. i’m just a little baffled at how much different the gameplay/rider movements are but the dude from rainbow told me they didn’t do anything to the physics. how does that make any sense. i’m not complaining either. i mean i am because i love the game, just frustrated at the moment.

It's gotta be the new view. I've had a similar experience as you, going from winning a bunch of online races (I feel like we're pretty close in speed) to being several seconds off per lap on my best tracks. There are sections on Anaheim I could do in my sleep that now I'm all over the track on, sometimes just jumping off.

I'm a little frustrated too but I've put some good time in during the last couple days and it's gotten a lot better.

I feel I would get more out of the game if they would get the BRAAP feature fixed so a series sorta had some realistic results and if the Nationals we're even remotely realistic feeling. They're just way too smooth, way too wide open. But that's just me.

Peelout, do you deem the game superior based on online play only or are you considering single player as well?

I actually think both games are solid. Just trying to enjoy All Out a little more than I do. I mainly play MES. I like the feel of All Out but it misses on many levels if you don't play online.

i'm talking straight up gameplay, physics of the bike and rider, the feel of riding/racing. just playing the game, whether it's single player or online. some kid was playing MES on the big-screen at the SLC race and i was watching it just thinking to myself 'yeah, i have no desire to play that again'

i kind of compare it to a COD campaign game to GTA5 free-roam. both games are great and have great features, but i'm way more into the GTA5 gameplay than say a COD campaign. GTA5 i can pick to do a story mission, side mission, just fuck around in the world etc (AllOut)... COD i'm stuck on a rail from point A to point B (MES) different strokes for different folks.

i do wish they would do a legit championship series like in MES, not a big fan of the different series on All-Out. i could give two shits about freestyle or ATV/UTV racing. freeride mode is sweet as hell though.

Agreed, a legit Supercross and Motocross championship season would go a long way. Licensed or not. But first they need to work on making good MX tracks.

I wish Rainbow would seriously study the replica tracks that people like RedRider created for Reflex on PC. His Unadilla track is light years beyond any of the MX tracks in All Out which were too wide open, boring and simple..

you have to play the tracks a lot more and get better at the game in order to really enjoy the mx tracks. it’s much more than just wide open. yes they are fast, but they really all aren’t exactly wide open. i thought the same as you for a while but you learn to appreciate all of the bumps and “lines” around the track. there’s hardly ever a flat surface. there’s no doubt there’s been much better motocross tracks in previous games but they really do get better once you learn then and get fast.

they actually make excellent tracks for racing online because of all the different lines.

I took 2 hours last night to play solely in first person. Wow. Everything looks so realistic. The wrecks. Everything. I definitely see a change in physics now from the original game release.

I do have a question though. How do you keep from getting disoriented?

Explanation:

After a while, when I would be going through a crazy rhythm sections and quick turns, I start to get dizzy from too much movement at once & the camera jarring around. Maybe I've just hit my head too many times, but is there a way to make this better? Camera settings?

There's definitely a lot of moving around. It's not as smooth as what MES is in first person. I played for a few hours last night and I kept having problems with the game lagging and being scratchy, even in supercross. A handful of times I would go over a huge jump and the bike was jumping back and forth in the air in super slow motion. There were times i just let go of all the buttons and waited for it to stop while I was in the air.

I like the first person view a lot, but I cant do it. It makes me dizzy within 5 minutes.

Yeah, that became my issue. I pushed through but basically was dizzy the whole time. Taking the inside of a corner in first person is so effing cool its not even funny.

When it starts doing that cycle through the camera views until back in first person. I notice mine will be fine and after a little bit the camera gets all shaky.

I messed with the first person view. I only like it racing the oval at Flying Moto Ranch

edit: Also when you're forced to do the UTV races

In case you hadn't heard, online menu to join games doesn't work, either quick join or custom games. Sorting and joining different types doesn't work 99% of time. Are you setting all the games in the browser as private or something?

Minor Bug: xbox 1.05 (digital version)
Tuning menu shows sprocket fully to right no matter the setting. If I go into tuning and set sprocket fully to left, press a to apply, exit menu to play, go back to tuning menu, sprocket shows fully to right again.

anyone else ever get online and get smoked by a couple guys by over 5 seconds per lap? last night i was laying down some smooth consistent fast laps and a guy passes me like i'm standing still and then proceeds to gap me by over 30 seconds by the end of the race. we both came out of one of the corners side by side and he just yarded me, bad, like straight up walked away from me down the next straight. would a different bike setup have that much difference in speed? i'm setup with a lower gearing and lower motor because it feels like it doesn't bog as much.

anyway i raced for a couple hours last night online and had a blast, other than getting my ass handed to me

Are you using manual transmission? That helps a ton.

Yeah, I'm on pc was racing in a lobby winning every race. Then some guy joins and just rains on my parade dropping insane lap times. Pretty much 3 to 6 seconds faster a lap and very consistent. He was running the 350 beating my 450. I'm kind of pissed my game save got corrupted and lost 25 hours of progress. 350 handles better but slightly less power. Not sure how he is so fast I spent a lot of time tuning my bike. However, tires, suspension, and brakes have a noticeable effect. Changing the motor and sprocket did not seem to change as much as I expected.

How big is the pc community and does it have FPS problems like the consoles?

Does time attack get recorded in the leaderboards and has anyone figured out the little red Rockwell symbol next to certain people’s times?

I have a good pc i7 6700 and gtx 1070. I play on epic setting with 1080p monitor. Haven't had really any fps issues. On release the one tropical map had a laggy section but it's been patched now. Had a weird lag issue in an online lobby I was hosting once. Game was fine when I quit and joined another. Not sure how big the pc community is it seems rather dead. I only play on weekends so there is usually a lobby after noon time east coast. Still having connection issues though.

Anyone having in issue with the leaderboards online not being accurate? Say I finish in second, the silver medal will show up at the end of the race but then when it gets to the leaderboards I'll be in 4th or 5th with a slower time than the people ahead of me. Only happens sometimes.

Happens to me sometimes. I just deal with it but I got a couple 1st place finishes and was pissed.

Am I missing something. Just played through every series up until the Pro MX 450 Nationals and the Pro SX 250 West did not unlock. What’s going on?

Edit: It’s because I failed the Freestyle, lol.

Okay, so I thought I was getting the hang of the physics fairly well actually, until I fired up SX - yikes. I do have my gun sticky traction set, I imagine that needs to be changed - when I turn and let go of the sticks to straighten out it’s so sticky that the bike continues to grab stick in a turning direction rather than straighten out. Somebody fire me some 250/450 settings, please! Oh yeah, and those Georgia Lindsay photos tsk tsk.
