You just cant stand a talented French rider whooping your boys.
Bet you will be calling out for the Pierre Karsmakers ruling to be re-instated whereby you have to be American resident for so long before you can win a championship!
Get used to young fast Euro's ruling the roost, there's a lot more coming!

I'm sick of everyone saying how Pourcel is so great and blahblahblah. Yeah, he's the most consistent and most of the time he's the fastest on the east coast, but the dude came from 10th or 11th in the main to 4th. Sorry, but that's been done hundreds of times. I'm not a believer yet. I admire the kid for what he's overcome and all he's been through, but I'm not sold on him yet. Plus, it's just un-american :-)

I think much of that excitement can be explained by the fact that he was paralyzed, and his career was pretty much over a year ago, at least that was what a majority? thought.

Also, some of us think it's nice that we have new talents that might be able to give Stew and Chad a future fight since the present one might not live up to the task. It's just add more excitement to the sport in short.

Still sick?

was wondering if anyone was going to fuss about him cutting the track. haha.

I like him. I like his spirit. We need great riders from all over.

He's obviously fast. Riding as well as he does and not coming from an SX background says a lot for his talent or atleast his training. Obviously he can win titles in the tiddlers. Fonz dominated the tiddlers but was never up to speed on the big bikes. Will he be able to find additional speed to race the big bikes? Hope so.

I think he will be a serious player in the outdoors.

I said that I admired the kid for what he's overcome. Did you read that part or skip over it?

Now you have him penciled in to run with James and Chad? Dude, I don't think he can run with Austin if they both get good starts. I don't know how the picture looks on the TV sets over there in Sweden, but I was at Atlanta and Stroupe was running away with it until he stalled. As I see it, he needs to beat stroupe, dungey, weimer, and half of the supercross class before getting to James and Chad. I'm not saying he won't, and it would be a great story if he does. Don't take it personal Doc, just expressing my opinion.

Two things stand out as needing addressing here. First, Pourcel has won the most races at this point so, the trophy should already be engraved. And second, cutting the track is no longer a black and white issue. It's more like a freestyle event in which someone on the sidelines scores the originality and, degree of difficulty of the alledged move.

At this point it is hard to compare Pourcel and Stroupe because Pourcel is obviously managing the championship and doesn't need to finish first at every race. We are going to have to wait for Vegas to see how they match.

i think he cut the track just as bad as jlaw in daytona.... do i think either of them should be dq'ed... nope. but if everyones gonna give jlaw hell for it, better do it for the next guy. just proves everyones out to get jason.

The rule precedent was set a couple of weeks ago. You don't have to ride the first corner. Just cut it off. No penalty is given.

The way everyone was talking at the beginning of the year how pourcel was smoking everyone at the test track, I thought he would wax everyone. That's not the case though. Stroupe seems to be as fast or faster than pourcel, just not as experienced.

Pourcel will not win the mx championship.

Pourcel is fast, but he is a very experienced rider, much more so than his competition, he should be in the big class, be like one of our top guys going to Europe and running the 250 class

Exactly. I could'nt agree more. Jason cuts the track in order to avoid a pileup of riders on the track and lookout! the whole world is engulfed in flames and ending. Then you get another pretty boy fast kid(which there is nothing wrong with that before you all point your guns at me)who does the exact same thing and there is every excuse in the book for him. I just find it funny......

Your opinion is worth as much as mine and I get your point. Sure I might have focused on the wrong part of your post. But It's how I interpret things. Might be incorrect. You beef was with the fans, not the rider. I personally think his achievement has unlimited thread value. But I respect critique against that, just thought the limit wasn't reach just yet.

I notice as well that his speed could be a bit faster sometimes to satisfy my wishes, but that could be speculated despite him actually winning the series (as it looks now) which makes Stroupe periodical speed worth shit in my book. If Pourcel had nothing to loose like Stroupe maybe he then also would ride his ass off?

Will Pourcel beat James and Chad? Not now or next year but maybe 2011 if those farts are still around. That's what I wish for, or a nice battle.

Outdoors I honestly think is where he shines. I think/wish he will be lites champ!

I guess I'm a fan of his...

I think he has a bright future and he's obviously got the desire to overcome just about anything as he's shown by overcoming his injuries. I'm sure he'll do just fine. I'm pumped about the oudoors as well. It's going to be a good summer of racing!

I been saying that for a while now, i think amercians will have to give the euros there respect if not we are going to take it anyway with wins and domination. Besides stewart the euros are faster ,pourcel is an example who is dominiating sx and i can wait till pourcel, ratray and searle go 1,2 and 3 outdoors. Dungey is the only american that can get in between them.
