Spode,

Rainbow purposely makes their tracks wider to accommodate ATV's. They have always done this with their MX vs ATV series games.

It does make sense but I think you could just put less ATVs than bikes. But then again, most here are cool with the width so I can see why they do it.

Spode, you can play with the camera angle and I've found using slot cam left zoomed in a bit makes you not notice the wideness as much. Im not a huge 1st person fan despite the realism it offers. So you can find a view that doesn't look so wide. I prefer a 3rd person but zoomed in.

The cornering though...im not sure how to make that better.

But I do dig the force feedback and how rough everything feels. Braking bumps, etc. That is worth noting.

I wish I could go straight to the pro Supercross series. I hate having to play series I have no interest in just to unlock things.

You just have to grind it out, man. I actually found some value in those early series. Not much, but some

When I get home I'll make some videos that demonstrate the width of different SX tracks. Some are really narrow, some not so much.

No need to show Nationals tracks, those things are like 6 lane highways.

if you're not already, try first person mode on All-Out.

it has the same redeeming qualities of MES. just like MES it completely changes the perspective of the game. i'm about a second off my fastest times, but it feels better and it seems easier to stay within the tuff-blocks.

my biggest problem with MES was the tracks are too tight. you can't ride two guys wide without one of you going off the track. i get that the scale may be closer, but i feel like that is one thing that hinders the game.

both games are great. i do feel like if AllOut came out first then the tune would be totally different. i haven't touched MES since AllOut came out and i have no desire to. i'll probably end up deleting it from my storage. it's not that it's a bad game, but it just has zero replay-ability for me.

switching gears, what is everyone running on the Echo Valley SX track? that's the tutorial track in the main free zone. last night i threw down a 25.9 in first person and felt like i was just cruising along, but i was actually flying. i switched to the chase cam and could only get to a mid 26.

24.81 with a 250f and 24.01 with a 450 at Echo valley, anyone wanna give it a shot?

Way inside before the whoops, then inside before the triple, inside line and scrub on to the on-off, and then wide line so you can triple in to the finish line

hey guys don’t forget about some of the tricks. and i’m not really talking about freestyle.

seems like they integrated some of the trick controls in a way that makes it flow well with the whip tricks. for instance doing a whip nac nac, and the taunt. no handers and no footers are cool, and the almighty heel clicker lol. my favorite so far is getting a nac nac in while doing a whip. looks awesome.

oh and while you’re riding..hit left and truck button and he first pumps in the air while on the ground lol. you can also ride around side saddle, ride around like a “goon”, no hands, no feet, over the bars and i think something else. and you can take off the face of jumps while doing it too

i’m not into the huge freestyle tricks but some of the “moto” tricks are fun to throw. there’s some trick list videos on youtube and i think a page back on here

when you’re doing a whip and using left stick to push left, just tap the right button. i’ve been freestylin for hours! lol

Best trick is seat stand through whoops and little jumps. Guy keeps standing and removing his hands and looks ridiculous. My kids love that one.

What's up with the Xbox? 2 MX game released and it seems like that console has had more problems than the other's with both games.

i don't know man, but other online games work fine with no lag or anything so i don't think it's my internet.

it's pretty frustrating, i like the game and want to play more but often end up haivng to to quit trying to get into a race and go play something else

I’ve found that when I can get into a game, it’s fine. The trouble is getting into one

I have a relative that works at Microsoft console division and I can assure you this patch is not in their corner. There are many factors when it comes to the process of making sure updates don't introduce console breaking bugs or security issues or flaws. He explained that updates can be released as quickly as a few days, (so maybe one of the developers can chime in on when it was submitted and why and if Microsoft rejected the update)

I have both consoles and enjoy both, but online on the Xbox consoles has always been the selling point for me and the reason why my PS4 rarely gets turned on except when a good single player game like last of us comes around.

Hey bud, heres the complete trick list video. And all button combos for each trick is listed in the vid description in the same order as the video. The "ground" tricks are pretty funny sometimes.

This is what i love about Rainbow's games, the variety of stuff to do. Just screwing around on the base compound is so rad sometimes when you don't feel like racing. Or freeriding on the SX tracks to learn lines, or do transfers, or ride the track backwards. Fun stuff. Nice not being locked in with one single thing you can do in a game.

So, since the pro rider list is really weak on top tier guys, I thought I would creste them in BRAAP and also put them on their correct OEM bikes (once they are all released). But when I enter, for example, a Supercross race none of the created AI riders are there. How do you race against your created riders?

But only 12 against AI. That's really odd.

I think it’s just 12 in single races not sure why. If you choose championship you get 16. My braap riders just showed up in race I don’t think I did anything other than create them. I have more than enough created to fill all ai spots but I don’t think you can pick who gets put in I usually get a combo of their pro riders and my created. I’d rather have just the braap riders even if I wanted one of the pro riders they have I’d rather just create them and put them on a oem bike.

So I was playing some good old Mx vs Atv Unleashed today, and of course I went immediately to the hill climb races. And the more i play, the more I miss this in All Out. Atleast some more mountains and terrain variation on the free ride maps on All out would be lovely.

Anyone else misses the good old hill climb? =)

What’s the little red Rockwell symbol next to certian times mean? And yes I loved the hillclimb feature back in the day.

no idea but i would like to know as well

also, did you guys know that if you hold up on the d-pad on xbox the music player pops up at the bottom left hand side of the screen. you can then use the dpad to cycle through songs and different playlists. once you’re done, you hit down on the dpad and the music player goes away. maybe this has been discussed already but i hadn’t seen it

Alright so I have about 5 hours of game play into this absolute abortion of a mx video game. Terrible in game physics, bike is stuck to the ground like glue 90% of the time and sliding the rear the other 10%. Throwing a good whip happens 1 out of every 10 times and when it doesn't work ends up with me on the ground. I've played every mx vs atv game and this is hands down the WORST. This game is made for 10 year olds who want to throw back flips off 180 ft mega jumps. This is not made for someone expecting a somewhat realistic mx game. I'm totally let down by this pos and will be bringing this back and trading it in towards monster energy sx because at least milestone can make a mx game. Can't belive thq took all this time to put out this turd and their whole develpment team should be ashamed for not only putting out a bad game like this but letting it be released with fracturd frame rates and basicslly non working online races. Will not be buying another mx vs atv ever again.

You have to put atleast 25 hours in to get the game down, then youll start to enjoy it

Boo hoo. Sounds like you suck at it. I think it's a great game and I played them all extensively. Play some more. There is no doubt that it is better than MES.

Nah im killing ai on all time by 30 plus seconds every race on a stock 250f. Yeah im terrible.... Like I said played every mx vs atv game so I'm not a newbie. MX vs atv Supercross and alive were both better games then this. Think I have a right to say a game totally sucks balls when I spent 50 bucks on it bud. Not the only one that thinks this game is horrible either. Wish I could like this game but it's going back. The physics are totally wrong in every way possible. Rider and bike feel totally disconnected and there is to much bias put on the left analog. Don't even have to lean really. Corners are weird and every single bike sounds HORRIBLE. Sound isn't a big issue but when they're worse then previous games which weren't great by any means then that's a issue too.

"This is not made for someone expecting a somewhat realistic mx game"

That's just it. It was never designed to be a realistic or a somewhat realistic game. It was always going to be an arcade MX game. The game gives you the MX experience in an arcade/fun way without dealing with the complexity of realism. Not everyone wants to play a sim or simcade. Some people just want to sit down and have fun riding dirt bikes in a game and this provides it for them.

People complaining about an arcade game not being realistic. SMH.

You probably should have paid more attention to the thread because it would of saved you a trip to the store to purchase it and now a second trip to trade it in.

Can't please everyone.
