if reed wins the title it's because he had fewer "off" nights than stewart... so he'll deserve the title! if stewart wins the title it was because he was faster more often... so he'll deserve the title.
sometimes i wish they'd both piss off how good would the points race be then? ha

Tim Ferry shouldnt have been the champion then. How the hell can you be the champ of anything and never have won one single event?
Terry Labonte did the same shit in Nascar and was champion. It was a BS system and thats why they have since changed their system a couple times and they now have the chase. Atleast they are trying to come up with something that works. Nascar has a system in place that does a little more for the winner.
Yes you do need a points system but i guess you dont understand my point.
out of the last 6 races James can win 5 and DNF 1 and he will not be the champ.
So your telling me if someone wins 13 races out of a 17 race series they dont deserve to be the champ? Regardless of what they did in the other 4....
Come on people think about that......

Points are points, they all add up the same, you EARN them.
Ferry earned his points, Labonte earned his.
I apologize for my previous gaff in mis-spelling asterisk.

You know what I meant.

You'll cry when I run you outside and smash your leg doing it, and smile taking my points over yours.
You suck, cause you "git none", but you'll be bragging that you ran up to the last lap and if I hadn't smashed "yer leg you coulda got er done".
Ya'll follow that?
Hook line what?

Here we go again Motodude...Does there always have to be an insult in there??
So lets say James wins the next 5 rounds and Chad wins 1....
That would give him 13 wins to Chads 3....
Now the one remaining race that James doesnt win he gets a DNF...
That would make Chad the champion....
To me thats a joke....If someone is that dominant they are the champ
regardless of what everyone else did on his few off nights.
This is why there should be more of an incentive to win.
My 2 cents.....
As I said before and as the whole wide world knows, a series is about team efforts and the riders ability to make it through the WHOLE series in the best shape. If he crashed and burnt along the way (probably due to his inability to concentrate) then he fukked up and not as dominant as you would love him to be, therefore not a worthy champion.

A smarter rider would take each race on its merits realising what a DNF would do to his campaign. Even if he didnt win a lot of races, he would be THE BEST justified by the points tally.

If you want raw speed to decide a motorsport go hang out at DragsterTalk.

Yet another excuse being groomed in the chance Stewart doesnt win the 09 sx series. You guys are quiet unbelievable.

This is the stupidest fucking rule i have ever heard of. God forbid you have a bike problem of some sort , but are completely dominant throughout the rest of the season....it wouldn't matter.

Whoever agree's that this rule should be implemented into SX and MX is a fuggin' retard. Sorry...don't mean to offend anyone...but that is just dumb!

guess the last couple of years with the title going down to the last race weren't good enough for them....

in supercross, this would leave Chad having to win-out to retain his title.... or Stewart having to win one....
Stewart knows how the points system works right? Thought so.

Give it a break Stewart is trying to win races. Reed is trying to win another championship and they both work with whats in front of them.

If Stewart is good enough he will win the title, likewise for Reed.

Remember the whole series got reset at Indy

And if Stewart DNFs another Reed would have 3 wins

Thank you for the sacrifices you have made 72kiteboarder. As for you tcannon...you punk...you have a lot of nerve to bad mouth a member on here that is serving "US" just to make yourself look smart. I realize you need all the help you can get in that area but, it just makes you look like an ass.
