Andy McKinstry caught up with young super-talent Jorge Prado to discuss his impressive day in Valkenswaard, his move to the De Carli KTM team and why might not move to the USA as quickly as first expected, if at all...

Not sure I'd want to come and get hurt in SX. The injuries have been shocking these past years, doesn't look too appealing to me!
If I could make good money in the gps, and only have to race one style of racing with more time off, my ass would stay there. Just seems like such a more favorable career, with less chance of major injury. Why leave If the money is right.
1. Money. A prime-time TV contract attracts sponsorship and generates revenue for everyone.
2. Available rides. There aren't that many good slots available in MXGP (especially on the factory teams), but talents like Roczen, Musquin, Ferrandis and Lawrence can always step into factory slots at the AMA 250 level, and there's always a path for them to move up. (This is kinda ironic, because American 250 talent is really good.)
But Prado probably has a clear path with De Carli Red Bull KTM, so why screw around in football stadiums?
Exactly the opposite of what we have now. 17 round outdoor with a 12 round SX schedule. A guy can wish right?
Oh, and no Ralph Shaheen.
only prodigy type talent with natural and/or already developed sx skills and contacts for top rides will come from os.
ferrandises and norrens wont come
imo
Gajser doesn't seem to go over soon either.
Can't blame them, me in their shoes probably wouldn't do it either.
Next guy will maybe be Brian Moreau in like 3 years
I like having both. I think everyone here would get bored with just one or the other.
As for eliminating injuries from SX? I'm not sure how we do that. We could slow the bikes, but then I feel like you'd have more guys packed together...and I'm not sure that's the cure. The depth of talent (when everyone is healthy) is a lot better than it's ever been.
I will say at the speeds they're going, though, that there's way too small a margin for error...particularly early in the races when everyone is still together.
Pit Row
Did I do that right?
But to keep this going.. we have no "real" sand over here. Or so I've read.
Forkner and Prado
Let's make a hell of an outdoor championship and put Dungey, Roczen, Tomac, Cairoli, Herlings and Gajser on it. Same with Prado and the mx2 talents
