Does he hold the record for most attempts to qualify with out making a main? He seems to be at almost every sx and national for the last few years, but I don't think he's made a main yet. Living the dream ! A true privateer. A millionaire?
His persistence always has us cheering for him but I've never even heard anyone mention his name.

Based on what he's said on PulpMX recently and their mentions of him since, I never got the impression that he comes from a family with money. Lives out of his van, sleeps in a hammock and spent the month leading up to Anaheim 1 getting by with taking 1 to 2 showers a week. Guy just seems so gnarly and committed to his dream for sure.

We pull for this kid every race. Always yelling at the TV. "Go Nagy!!!" At Red Bud last year I met his mechanic, talked for a bit. Seemed like a pretty decent guy.

I forget what round it was but they mentioned that him and his dad slept in their rental car at the stadium on the friday at one of the races this year. That's dedication!

Believe it or not, I share the same last name as this guy, and I always get asked if hes related in any way. I of course lie and say hes a distant cousin lol. I always pull for this dude, fingers crossed he makes a main this year. Hurts seeing him qualify but not make it in to the main week in and week out.

Aside from Matthes chronicling Nagy as one of the most privateer privateers, it's been funny to hear multiple other riders on the Pulp show, like Alex Ray, hear mention of his name and be like "Oh yea, Nagy? Yea that dude is pretty gnarly!"

My wife, her maiden name is Nagy. We have wondered about the "distant cousin" thing...lol. Gives us incentive to root for the guy even more. Gotta' get "family" in the main! ;-)
