He's already been scanned. I don't get why they would need to scan him again since he's already in the database. Gear can easily be changed when you create your own rider in the game so the team could easily change Mookie's standard gear set for the next installment.

NFL, MLB, NHL, etc. don't scan players each year.

Edit: Either way I'm pumped we get to race Daytona again.

But NFL MLB and NHL dont have to scan stadiums and playing surfaces for each year...maybe since they are already there for the bikes and track, might as well also do updates for riders? I genuinely don't know, just theorizing. Certainly seems like a waste of resources to me but what do I know. Honestly, scanning the tracks seems like a waste of resources too. Could easily just replicate the tracks using the editor after each race is completed, based on how they look and stuff. But what do I know.
Scanning the riders a second time is a waste of resources and time. For the next game they won't need to scan the tracks because they already have a solid database of images from the 2017 scans. They'll be able to piece together new tracks based on those images since they'll also have the scale down. They'll just need to adjust the texture to want they want and scan new venues when Supercross goes to a new city/stadium.

Car games don't scan the racetracks every single year. Don't see why Milestone would continue doing that every year. Use those resources to hire better programmers, design artists, etc.

Man, it's probably been mentioned (I only scan the pages for video) but there is just no peakiness to any of the jumps, especially the rhythm section in the middle of the track... Some of the down-ramps looked peakier.
Not expecting pogo stick like Encore but, some "pop" would be nice.

I don't understand how they allow people like this to play the game and release content of it. Such a bad look for Milestone.

Give it to Kellen Brauer or Chris from Race Tech, they'll represent it 100% better.

I don't know much about having early access to test and make videos for a developer, but I would assume they could put more time into playing the game better if they wanted to.

Here's another response to a similar comment: "What can I say, first time playing the game, you're never going to be perfect, I don't know the tracks or bikes."
the person playing doesn’t work for milestone

i noticed that too. makes me wonder if more then just the physics and the ai changes when you select a higher difficulty. what if the tracks change too? whoops bigger, more peaked jumps

I think that’s pretty obvious considering the YouTube videos are coming from a Gaming channel and not milestone.

I'm telling you, you cannot put too much on these videos released as most are playing game for first time and with it in standard mode which it probably defaults at. I'm not saying changing to Pro physics will increase whoop size or track difficulty...I can almost guarantee it won't.....but until it is in a capable player's hands you can't judge by pre release videos.

Most MX SX games look kinda bad when you see previews.

What is the deal with milestone's hard on for mud? Most every race on mxgp3 its raining and the two video's of game play I've seen here the track is muddy.

Before MXGP 3, the biggest complaint I saw on their facebook was how unrealistic the games were because there was no mud racing. Well... they listened.... Thanks facebook trolls....

Does anyone know if it is confirmed that race day schedule will be implemented into the game? Heats, Semi’s, LCQ, Main. ETC.

I believe there will be a full race day schedule option. If I'm remembering correctly, one of the gameplay videos released a while back was of a heat race. And there's no reason for timed qualifying to not be included.

I've heard, from a reliable source, it will be the full 2017 format which would make total sense as they are fully replicating that season. Qualifiers, heats, semis, lcqs and mains.

I would speculate that they may also include custom options such as just mains or full nights events with everything.

There is no denying that this game looks incredible visually but with each video I move further and further away from the idea that they were going for "realism" as much as they have claimed. Lots of incredibly short stops after long jumps, non-crashing on obviously crash causing situation, little to no effect when coming up short, insane out of corner seat bounce ability, going through riders, etc.

The game looks a lot like MX vs ATV to me, but, a marshmallow version in which everything looks and feels... softer (if that makes sense). I'll reserve my judgement for when I get my hands on the game but from what I'm seeing it's not looking like the game itself is all that exciting to play.

Will this game have a preload jump option like the mx vs atv franchise?

I had to stop that vid 1:30 in. Game looks great, but how hard is it to clear a jump, that was nauseating

If it is like MXGP3, it'll act a lot like a seat bounce. Little extra pop but nothing massive like the Mx vs Atv games.

I think this is a game that will probably be pretty fun to play, but looks horrible when you see others play it. (except when they're really good at it)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there is a collision option in the game, you can turn off/on bike collisions. That's why the guy is going through people.

Same dude as the other videos but he was riding Daytona. The track looked fantastic.
