Have you ever heard the saying that you can't win the championship in one night, but you can LOSE it in one night?
I don't know the dollar amount Suzuki has on the table for Reed as a bonus if he wins this series. If I had to guess I would put the championship bonus Suzuki is dangling in front of Reed in the seven figure range. I'm guessing this dollar amount is so significant that it motivates young Mr. Reed into riding as smart as he can in hopes of cashing in on this bonus by having the most points
As for James speed, well that has never been a question. Over the seven races James finished in front of Chad, what was James average lead? I'm guessing it was no more than 5 seconds. Put those 5 seconds into 20 laps and how much faster than Chad is James? My Point is that these guys are very close in speed. They are so talented that to call either of them a derogatory name is pure ignorance on the part of a fan.
Maybe you are mistaken, but it was Bubba that had Jason riding with him just a few weeks ago. Was it not?
Also lets not forget, Chad came from almost dead last on the start after Bubba took out half the field.
I was at Daytona last year when Chad was over a minute up, and he had luck go against him. You can't blame Chad for Bubba's crash, only Bubba can have blame placed on him.
Lets all just be happy that Bubba was not hurt worse then he was, it could have been really bad.
You guys ever think of being a fan of RACING, and not bash each others' rider?

Here - Guy B put this up for stupid tools like you.

It's called a championship (sorry for the big word) series.
If you have a DNF, or a crash that causes you to finish down in the final order for one race, it hurts your chances for the big trophy (and paycheck) at the end of the season.
The riders know how the point system works, and the guys with a chance at the championship (sorry) often ride at a pace that allows them to finish consistently. It's generally a bad idea to try and change the system so fans of a particular rider get the result that they want. That's not how it works in the real world.
I hope this helps you understand our sport a little better.

I dont agree with the points system and i dont expect it to be changed for one rider thats ridiculous. But to win 7 consecutive races in a professional series of this caliber is difficult for anyone to do....even James. So to have one mulligan set you that far back i dont agree with.
So you and Guy B can think and say what you feel, but the bottom line is they need to follow suit of other series and give more of an incentive to win. We all watch these races to see who WINS.....
Now was that slowwwww enough for you tools?
Yes we all watch the races to see who wins......that is exciting and part of the attraction.
The teams are also involved and heavily invested in the championship and it should be about more than just speed or wins.
Some fans want to see who can take it all the way some just care about the podiums.
Win the battle lose the war sound familiar?
It is about being able to consistently score the most points for the duration of the season.
That means using your head instead of your throttle hand sometimes.
However can't you also see how this point structure has now set up the excitement you crave?
Stewart has to go on a tear and win, Reed can ride smart.
Somebody is going to have to push it harder to win in the end.
the points are o.k. we have had 3 or 4 exciting races with this system. its chads fault that stewart has a tendency to crash 2 or 3 times per season where he loses a good amount of points. if stewart was racing all the other guys but chad these would be a snoozefest just like the nationals last year.
the point structure was set before the season started, it hasnt changed, everybody could see their strong and weak points and plan a strategy. whats unfair about that?
every generation has had its fast crasher remember bradshaw or lusk? and now stewart.
in car racing we had senna and prost both were great only with different approaches thats the stewart vs reed show on supercross
Since your a numbers guy.. Here are some solid numbers for you..
Supercros wins.. Reed 37.. Stewart 32.
Supercross Championships.. Reed 2 Stewart 1..
I'm not an insider, but I bet it's fare to say, that both James and Chad
would rather be remembered as a champion, than "the fastest man on the planet".
If things keep going the way they have for the last two weeks, this is what we will have.
Stewart=fastest
Reed=champion
You and Racer act like pouting 5 year-olds with your endless childish rants about how "your guy" is the best. Please find another sport .... or at least another board to pollute.
So JLaw pulled over to let Reed by, big deal. I beleive Reed would have caught him anyway. (I know that no JS fan thinks that!) Maybe JLaw has grown up a little. Personally I think he knew he was gonna get passed by Reed and thought "why fight it and take us both out."
Pit Row
Maybe Lawrence waved Chad over ''because he dont give a shit what anyone thinks."
JS shouldn't have scored points at A1 just like Chad shouldn't have scored points last year at Daytona.
Not LOOSE!!!!
Can i ask a question...What facts do i have a problem with? Please do explain........
