I realize that. Stewart was pulling those lap times while running through the field with his bell rung. Reed had an open track when he pulled his best lap time.

He wasn't exactly running through the field. He had a clear track at that point.

Obviously not. Stewart didn't start going again until the field was at least 20 seconds ahead. He didn't deal with much traffic until probably lap 4

Race with a tweaked fender and most likely the wheel twisted in fork tubes and wasting time on the wrong bike as well as taking another 15 seconds starting the bike and still only 38 sec behind in 7th.

That race you mean?...lol.

Stew pulled some under 110s with that damage is quite amazing.

Still give credit where due. Reed wins again.

7 races left; everyone should be stoked about the season so far.

Just if RV can quit stalling his bike and Grant caught a bad break(hope not literally).

And Lawrences ride was really impressive for all the illnesses and no ride dealies too. Maybe this season will be the one that brings SX more mainstream as it should be.

Reed was only going as fast as he needed to. He had more in the tank.

that's what you Stewart guys say when Reed has the faster time right?

Reed coasted the last lap. Would probably be around the 45 sec mark otherwise

It amazes me the way people see what they want to see. Stewart ended the first lap about 29 seconds behind Reed. Ended as said above at 38 back of a cruising Reed. James ran one or two fast laps at the beginning, rode a smart race and didn't throw away his chance at the title but there was nothing spectacular about it. He went about the speed you'd expect out of a slightly rung "fastest man on the planet". Reed ran the fastest laps of the night on the roughest track of the night. Spin it however you want but the dominant rider the last 2 weeks is from Australia.

Correct.

Didn't need to push. Just played it safe. Had some in reserve. SMART riding.

I am a reed fan and even i will admit, steward can pull faster laps than reed, but a1 and the last two races have shown is that as soon as steward actually trys to go to his top speed he becomes inconsistant and cant last a main event without dropping it

I know I want to see live SX racing and that's it. Got no dog in this nonsensical debate over which of the two is the best; end of LV will determine that. Only too bad it's a 2 rider race. But JLaw, Alessi, RV, Grant, rejuvinated Millsaps and hope Hill will turn it up that last hardest notch. Those miniscule seconds and experience that the front two have.

I'm a Hill fan that's well known, well before his win last year. But since I've worked those mechanic rows many times, I can appreciate all who race in this fantastic sport and walking those tracks really humble you and make you think how in the heck they do it..

35+ yrs of it and it's still is real exciting. I'm looking toward the remainder of this season and the return of the Outdoor Nationals on TV with further hopes of more/more live TV in the yrs to come.

That my dog in this fight.
