Furthermore, a cross country trip in the US isn't much more than a trip across the Atlantic. These are just excuses the US based riders use. There are other arguments I'll listen to. The travel isn't one of them.
I agree with those points, but would also like to point out the fact that the MXGP schedule calls for 18 less flights than AMA MX/SX.

Shit! I don't want to be the sour grape in this conversation.....but here it goes.

Even if USA wins at Redbud next year , I don't think it'll mean as much. Meaning....we need to win again overseas. Winning over there has a different meaning , then winning here on home soil. That's even " If " we win.

I also hope that the crowd is huge and it ends up being an awesome weekend.

Someone said red bud had to change the start because it has to be a 180* right hander for gp’s. Is it only mxon because watching the 17 usgp at ww it was a long sweeping left. Whats up with this?

I’m pretty sure they relocated the start due to MXGPs needs for a longer mechanic area. I think AMA mech areas are 100ft and MXGP is 300.

I could be wrong but I think that’s why. I’m sure they will make the start favor the inside gates like always with the GPs.

They did have to change the start to fit the mechanics area like mentioned above.

Rumors of the MXGP folks wanting some track changes? LaRocco’s Leap? Can you comment on this and where’s the start going to be located?
The main track change was to house Youthstreams' pit lane structure. We use about 100’ for the nationals; they need around 300’. So making it fit proved to be a challenge. So the first turn area is getting changed around for that reason.
