Very good session from Strijbos. Good to see, it has been a rough season for him.

Or those guys are much faster. This is line with how much faster Herlings was than Tomac in practice last week

Thanks, so there is no link to get timing and results on the page I just paid $10 for. I'm a bit underwhelmed.

Herlings, AC, Anstie were a class above the rest.

Well I remember Eli struggled last year at Glen Helen and didn't even do that well In the qualifying race. Then woke it up on Sunday. Let's hope

So in a test of pure speed. The GPs are head and shoulders above.

I have a theory that the riders in the USA have better fitness because of their training programs and can run their fastest pace for 30+2 but GP riders have to back off a little to run the full motos

Lol.. thats not true. Mxgp guys often set the fastest laps of the race at the end
In the races.... Because they are more strategic with when they go fast. Last week in the first moto, Herlings was like the only guy to not go faster than his practice times in the actual race. It was like he had plenty more speed but was making sure he could win the moto and not kill his energy.

top 10 only 2 seconds apart , thats difference between AMA last week and MXGP today ... times are a lot closer , so 2 seconds last week got you a second or third spot .. today its outside top 10

Those of you claiming we were overreacting about what we witnessed last week. Now?

Wow. Have to admit those sessions surprised me a little bit. I thought guys like Hampshire, AC and Harrison would be right near the top of the times in MX2, and obviously thought Tomac and Barcia would be a lot better. Still no points up for grabs yet though.

Pumped to see Anstie up there, us Brits are a bit thin on the ground this weekend, so it's nice to have one in the mix. I look forward to him going 18-1 tomorrow

Is it still muddy?
No it’s not. It sprinkled some rain for about 5 mins. Looks like the sun will be coming out again soon.

Herlings looks like he is having a blast and this is child’s play. He also seems to not rev the shit out of his bike either.

They still need to fix the first turn about 100yds out. There is a damn lake in it making it very tight.

I wonder if Eli knows he's just bagged himself 13th gate pick for the quali race?

Only free practise I'm not holding my breath until tomorrow's races are over.

Good to see Max Anstie and Kevin Stijbos are on the pace.

It's possible of course, though to be fair he didn't set the world alight until the actual races last year either. I'm sure he'll be there at the sharp end when it matters.

It's the same track for everyone. I actually think that Hampshire has rode the track before.

I agree with RG1, weird results. Especially in MX2.

Haha should be some good racing but I'm not sure I'll be able to handle this place afterward

I'm so glad it's not at Glen Helen today, wouldn't be half as exciting!
