American series riders spend around 7 months of the year riding sx. Just saying
Herlings should move here and adopt a motocross only schedule.

Are we forgetting 2 names...Tomac and Kenny. Both IMO are faster.

True..
Herlings arrived in the country on Tuesday. Picked up a bike, had a day riding it and went to the races.
NO AMA pro rider on that track had anything for Herlings, he abbliterated them all.. Tomac and Marv tried to ride his pace, but were clearly riding over their comfort zone.
Face it, Herlings is the real deal, a true racer.

Yes. American riders could learn a lot from Herlings' technique. If you can't beat them, BE them. Zacho makes it clear how racing guys like Herlings & Roczen in Europe has helped take his riding to the next level.

He would never earn what he does in Europe for an mx only schedule, probably not even if he done SX as well

Idgaf about grammar when trying to type fast as possible on a phone.

4 out of 4 vs the entire GP field LAST YEAR. We will see what happens next week.

Also no one starts a sentence with and.......
It to whom is it important. Just FYI.

What Herlings just achieved is awesome... I'm not a massive fan of his and I'm certainly not a KTM fan but that was awesome.
A lot of people on here have heckled the shit out of him for not even being 2nd rate... "He wouldn't win our local b race" etc etc.... Well today he did win... and it was no local b race... oh and just for the record I'm no fan of Roger Decoster either, a lot of you guys in the US put him on a pedestal that he doesn't deserve...

Herlings is just the messenger, it's the entire top ten or so. At some point within the last few years they started taking MX back. RV didn't struggle because he was in a strange country, he struggled because they are faster again. AMA riders are essentially part time motocrossers, they are not going to keep up when motocross is just their summer job. I think more amateurs need to look into going to Europe when they turn pro and specialize in motocross. Maybe there needs to be US professional Supercross racers, and professional Motocross racers. Although without more money nobody is going to pick motocross.

I dunno my friend, I don't think he'd make that much doing only mx in America. He's probably making around Tomac money doing just GP's. Personally I'd love to see him go to the US and do SX and mx. He's extremely talented and probably would pick up SX quickly. He's still only 22 also, that allows plenty of time to get great at SX also. This is just a opinion so don't rape me guys

NEVER.

He said on the podium he was the fastest guy of the day... really ? the fastest man at Ironman was Marvin.

Nice try Jeffrey.

Huh? Except setting all the fastest laps and going 1 - 1

Would agree on an extremely unlikely 24-0 though

The dude put in an impressive ride, but let's wait & see how he dies next week in the hot sun. Tomac won't have any pressure of a title either.

He won empathically, got the overall.
He even had time to have a cheeky glace at Tomac, pull a tear off before leaving him in the dust..lol
As much as I like Tomac, that was pretty funny.

Absolutely. When he did try to ride Herlings pace, he looked out of his zone, and went down.

Tomac was not good at all and that's sounds logic for me. Pressure, ego, big picture ect.

Jeffrey had nothing to lose, Tomac had everything to lose (look the moto 1 and his stupid move, he is lucky).

Better bike for Jeffrey too imo. Good track for him.

Next week will be different.

Tomac Hangtown, Redbud, Southwick still better than Jeffrey.

Tomac Oakland was one of the best individual perf all time.

Maybe i m not very objective (fanboy weakness) Tongue

Kenny , AC 222, Herlings ,Gajser, small gap Tomac, MM5,,BB4 ,Febvre ,small gap ,JA21, DESALLE, PAULIN ,JB19, VAN HOREBEEK ,Nagal, imo all these riders could win races. but Kenny , AC 222, Herlings ,Gajser, are a step ahead of everyone else over a season when all riders are 100% imo.

Tomac 2017 :

9 moto win in SX with 5 win in a row.

One of the best perf all of time at Oakland.

Anybody can beat him at Daytona.

One of the best come back of the sport.

US 450 AMA mx champ with 2 mechanical issues.

He has posted anything on instagram, he is champ but very upset imo Smile

And I think Tomac is better in SX now. His outdoor season was not very great except at Hangtown, Redbud, Southwick and budss moto 2.

Still a great season.

And your not the smartest.

1: the loaner bike is a full factory Ktm race bike at US spec.

2: if you don't agree Tomac was playing it safe the second moto yoy are high.

3: wait until next week when Tomac doesn't have to worry about a championship that needs to be won after he threw 2 away in the past.

4: Herlings was great, but until we see him smoke our top rider when the championship isnt on the line like Tomac did to the GP field 4 times in a row then it isn't relevant.

if you are going to rip on someone for being dumb you might want to work on sentence structure. Not wrong but not necessarily the way a smart person would express that thought. Which of course a smart person would recognize as irony. In fact it may well be dramatic irony if we can assume that everyone caught this and is laughing at you and you are clueless to that fact and I'm just the dumbass who couldn't keep my mouth shut. That's a run-on sentence. They used to be for dummies but Cormac McCarthy made them okay. He wouldn't give a f*ck about the original sentence I pointed out either. He would tell me to shut the f*ck up just like most people reading this are doing. He rarely uses punctuation at all. So maybe you are an excellent writer with your own unique grammar and usage guidelines and are smart as a motherf*cker. Even if you aren't just say you are. And don't bother responding to this. Anyone. It will just get me going. Read Blood Meridian instead. Imagine the most violent movie you've ever seen. Multiply that by 100 and you get cormac mccarthys blood meridian. Just crazy violence and gore on every page. Now that motherf*cker can write.
Herlings made American motocross look pretty bad. Needed a Roczen, Stewart, or Carmichael to put him down. Trey Canard would have at least got on his ass and stayed there no matter what so it didnt look so bad. Villopoto would have lost. Then again him and Carroli make the gp guys look bad most every week the same way Carmichael and Stewart did.

It's a shame Roczen turned down the MXdN when he could have raced previous to this year, obviously the same goes for Tomac but I'd love to see him back in Europe for a Race to see how he stacks up.

Roczen did race his own German MXGP a few years back which was so cool

As for doing it the US, that ride was incredible, how Herlings did that, arriving Tuesday, the bike, the race format etc,a lot of odds were certainly against him.

The USGP should be a better affair than last year, although the Championship is pretty much done again and motivation might be an issue but guys like Cairoli,Gajser,Paulin and Desalle were all injury plagued last year, this year they're more like themselves

I was there to witness it today and I have never seen or remember anyone crashing and getting up from dead last to work their way to the front like Herlings did today in the 450 class. The only thing close to it would have been James Stewart in his 125 days.

Herlings ability to stand up up through the ruts with crazy corner speed was a joy to watch. Too bad he's not racing in the U.S. next year. From what I saw today he would crush the competition.

Some people are so butthurt..

Marvin has been beating Tomac straight up the last half of the season. He has clearly been faster even when Eli was trying. And Musquin had nothing for Herlings. I did not thi k Hwrlings would come and win and certainly not go from last to first and passing top riders like seely, webb and bagget like they were standing still. But he did.

Remember when USA was still great all went south from Obama's second term from 2012 and on. MXON? Now Europeans on European bikes even beat the Europeans in the USA. Today most Americans hate their own president because he likes winners and they burn their own flag in their own country and allow their history to be destroyed, loser psyche has infected the USA ! Good job Barry. USA will not dominate the MXON like they used to, when USA had a winner psyche. That has all been basically written over and one is a dissident if one wants the USA to be great ??? Now the Europeans dominate MX and crazy how affected the whole of USA has become including MX as a nation...

Soooo last year when Eli beat all the GP guys by 45 seconds at 2 races winning all 4 Motos, including AC222 who is beating Herlings in the WC. The internet must have quit working for Euros during that period. Herrings was good today, but if you think Eli was sending it you are delusional.
Tomac was definitely sending it on the first moto trying to ride with Herlings. But as we all saw he rode way over his head trying to stay with Herlings....Even Grant Langston said it.

If you didnt see that, YOU are delusional.
