Has anyone ever successfully mounted a Brembo front caliper from a KTM to a Japanese manufactured motocross bike?

I was hoping someone already had a bracket for the conversion as it would save me a significant amount of R&D time.

I have some pics of it on thumper talk in suspension section for SSS swap

I've also seen it done, on a YZ over at thumpertalk. He had to do some questionable material removal and use washers to get the correct spacing for the disc, but it did fit.

I will try and find the thread.

Brembo Master Cylinders are easily used however and are said to be an improvement over most Nissin MC's

I've seen that one and will not be doing it in that fashion.

I'm of this notion as well but am looking to see if anyone else has done it or if it's untapped.

I know a guy locally working on this adaptor kit...

Here is his factory caliper on his BMW enduro that usually takes a nissin caliper/Japan mounting.

I know hes trying to make this as a kit we can all buy, if anyone has any interest - maybe making a list of interested buyers.....

It shouldn't be to hard to make some brackets with some basic measurements of the fork and caliper. Make a solid works model and start cutting chips.

I know this but it's easier to just purchase and reward someone for doing the tedious work vs reinventing the wheel.

I contacted ride engineering and motostuff about this same topic. Ride responded but wasn't interested in making it. They would atleast have the models of both the nissin and brembo bolt patterns/offsets. I figured it would be a slam dunk and the flood gates would open with guys wanting to convert. I'd be down for a mount using a 270mm rotor.

Doesn't Brembo make aftermarket calipers that fit certain Japanese bikes?
