Maybe old news, but looks like PC has a new Showa A kit out for the masses! Dual spring looks simple and nice! Is this brand new for 2017, or more of a revamp from older dual spring set ups? Anyone know the price yet?

It's been higher than that for quite a while.

I don't have "national caliber speed" so it's not really on my radar to know these things.

Whats your guess soothsayer?

I don't have the exact price on this newest version, I just know what the TAC units were roughly selling for...

I'll be finding out this next week.

What are you talking about ML512? The price for 250sx suspension is set in stone by the AMA. Currently $5125 for the forks and $2000 for the shock. Total = $7125. In other words, any suspension used in the 250sx class has a price cap and MUST be available to any 250sx licensed Pro for that price.

You just answered your own question "MUST be available to any 250sx licensed Pro for that price"... It doesn't have to be available to the public for that price..

I talked to Factory connection about 18mths ago on a new set of A-kit spring forks.. they said if they can get a spring fork from Showa, it would be about $11k, but they have been selling fewer and fewer A-kits to the public in recent years and more of a rarer commodity in their shop these days.

Good news for me. This means the older spring kits should hold value even better. 11k. Sheesh.

I believe he's actually wrong and it does have to be available to the public. I think you have to be able to get your hands on it at the retail price he stated within 15 days.

So what's the price limit $8500? And available to the public? Pretty sure Geico kits are more $$ than that.

The suspension has to be available to AMA card carrying pros for that price, but it doesn't have to be available to the public for that price...it's how WP gets away with running the 52mm forks on their 250 support teams.

Yep, you are correct. Is this a relatively new change or has it always been that way?

Kashima uppers look way better than that black crap!

And WP should offer 52mm Cone Valve to public too!
