Anybody remember the last time RD finished out of the top 5? Actually the top 4? How about the last DNF or if he ever missed a main?

Overall he's never finished lower than 3rd in 7 seasons and won't in his 8th. Far as I can see nobody else has done that.

Does than make me a fanboy, maybe, but I am impressed by the stats.

Dungey does what Dungey does. The only way you can beat him for a championship is to win a lot and not have any bad days. Only two people have ever been able to do that against him. Villopoto and Roczen.

The butthurt is strong with the Dungey haters. Dungey has pushed all of his competition to the breaking point and beyond, including retirement. Those guys simply cannot maintain the pace that he sets. That's why he is where he is at on the champions list. Not to mention he has quite the win list going as well. How about podium finishes? Who else really compares?
Exactly. Been saying that for a while. Nobody seems to listen or understand.

Ryan Dungey will go down in moto/super cross history as one of the fastest, smartest smoothest riders to ever race a dirtbike...EVER. People that belittle his accomplishments can suck my balls.

2011 SX: Who the F..K ever heard of a chain derailing (not breaking ... derailing)? Costs Dungey the Championship.*
2011 MX: Who the F..K runs out of gas half way through a F'ing moto? Costs Dungey the Championship.*

* Speculation was that Suzuki sabotaged Dungey in both series because they had not funds to cover their Championship bonus obligations. Remember that Reed 2009 took no salary and covered his own Championship bonus with a Lloyd's of London insurance policy because Suzuki had no money to pay him or his championship bonus.

Yes, and probably will make the most $ from his career, hot wife and he has been relatively injury free.

I suppose it's hard to look at it when one rider has 9 wins and the other has 3 wins ( which really should be 2 wins) That last race was team tactics.

I think a lot of people look at those figures and can't accept that.

If you look at it and take last week's race into consideration that was Marvins win
RD would have fewer race wins than Eli 9 Marvin 3 and RD 2 and he still clinches the title.

When was the last time a title was won with the winner sitting 3rd on the race win list after seasons end?

As far as I'm concerned whoever wins this title deserves all of our respect and is deserving of the title CHAMPION

Yes, this is huge. Barring a serious injury from here on out, Dungey will still be pretty darn healthy and about as pain free as one can be exiting this sport.

Lots of talk about "if he wins..."

But what if RD still manages to throw it away after all these gifts?
