Only one guy can win the race, sometimes it's not you. In which case, second is better than a DNF.
Still more races to go. We know Tomac can make mistakes so let's see. Personally I think Tomac deserves it and hope he can see out the final rounds and get the Championship but I still don't think it's a formality. Bit of bad luck on the first corner is all it takes to ruin a race.
Barcia fights harder for 13th than Dungey does for this championship.
But that pass that Tomac laid on the dungenator.. was a passing of the torch for sx.
His career speaks for itself, not to mention the fact that he'll retire before 30 with millions of dollars, a beautiful wife, and a great family.
Also, I like the humbleness Tomac is showing with his wins, as well as his respect for Ryan Dungey. Tomac is showing maturity on and off the bike, and has all the makings to be the next dominant rider.
Question: If Eli Tomac were to crash out and DNF in either main event in New Jersey or Las Vegas and Ryan Dungey were to win the championship, would that title then have been given by Tomac by hanging it out too far...or taken by Dungey by being as fast as he could within his limits?
Pit Row
On a serious note it's never really been Dungeys craft to ride all crazy and try and save a lead. He just rides his own race, stays within his limits, and lives to fight another day. Eli bulldozed passed everyone. If Dungey was going to step up and try and contend with him that night, he was prob gonna end up on his head.
2 more to go. Be epic if they can go into Vegas tied!
