So rather than ask more questions, you just went straight to scam?

FB profile has zero information and one profile pic. Seems odd to me. Has anyone else seen this?

he's got 701 friends and has a private profile, can't say i blame him. I know a bunch of little companies like this starting up to help vets. I did a few years in the Army so I guess i'll shoot this guy a message, anyone down to help the military is cool in my book. I'll return with some info if i get a chance to talk to him.

I would. Because he is trying to sell a product not a cleaning service. Its cheaper to send a free sample to potential customers than there and back shipping charges on heavy boots.

But on the other hand, what a weird way to generate money with a scam, I mean selling used dirty stinking ass mx boots just don't seem like a smart hustle/scam.

My boots cost more than my helmet, too.

I messaged him and said seems like you're trying to get away with something and he responded and apologized. If he has something that can take out the yellow stain that white boots generate he should be patenting it, not running a charity.

Power to the guy for trying, just needs a better approach.

It very well may not be a scam, but in the way he's reaching out it sure would make me think twice.

As soon as they get dirty, I'm going to send him the new boots I'm buying with this Cashiers Check I just got from from an exiled Nigerian Prince!

Ask him to send you a sample of the product and you can give him feedback. Seems much easier then you sending in boots and him sending them back.

This seems strange, but it's hard to believe if someone was going to scam people that they couldn't come up with a better way. What does he do, scam people out of their boots, fill up a shipping container then sell them in some MX rich / boot poor country?

I'd probably go for it as long as its free and then he cleaned my car, house and did a few other cleaning type jobs and errands around the house, possibly abit of decorating and garden work also could be thrown in.

Joking aside, maybe it is for a good cause, just seems abit odd packing up boots and sending them around.
