I know it's hard to compare, but with Gajser's very flamboyant American style of scrubbing and pushing hard, could he come over to the US in a similar fashion to Roczen? Is Gajser or other world championship riders like Cairoli capable of winning an AMA race?

Tomac went 1-1-1-1 at the 2 USGPs last year, so i would say no. At SX he definitely has no chance.

Roczen startedout in the lites class , and didn't win right away. I think it'll a real challenge for gajser to come into the 450 class and start winning.. I think no

Yea Tomac put on a clinic and the USGPs.

I would guess it'd take Tiga a year to figure it out here

The heat, the tracks, the starting lap pace here.

Doubtful, same as I wouldn't put money on Tomac beating him over here...takes time to adapt.

TG could beat him in 2018, it will take Tomac a year to get used to the KTM.

Agree, tomac put a clinic in the end of the series at home, when everyone just want end the last too races of the season healthy and when the championship was decided.
The next race is in Italy... l like to see tomac there put a clinic too!

Lets put things into perspective...last year at the USGP races Gajser was racing for the championship, not racing Tomac.... I think yes right now he would beat Tomac outdoors, indoors wise no question Tomac would beat him as Gajser is still new to SX.

Tomac would beat him on the groomed US style MX tracks. I think Geiser and AC would give him all he could handle on the MXGP tracks though. Eli would smoke them on a SX track.

Tomac could run in the top 5 in the European GPs, but wouldn't last a season. Gasjer would do well in the USA but he has a talent to make the brutal GP tracks smooth, the USA runs smooth groomed tracks thus his talent and two day stamina would be wasted.

16th & 2nd 2013. 6th & 3rd 2014 on rough tracks. Top 5 material and that's honorable

They both happen to be two of my very favorite riders. I seriously don't know who I would cheer for more. Maybe Eli since he's American and all , but man , Tim is one awesome dude! Super fast and loaded with talent. They are also both at the top of their game right now. Hard to compare both of them.....but here , I think Eli would come out on top. Over in the GP's , I think Tim would come out on top.

But who knows? They are both young enough where we will get treated to seeing them both on the same track a few times in the future. And that ought to be pretty fun to watch!

Didn't say he sucked in rough stuff. Just giving the Euros credit too. They ride some of the roughest tracks there are. We have maybe two tracks that maybe compare to GP style roughness. That's Glen Helen and Unadilla and really those two tracks don't even compare anymore to the roughest tracks in MXGP. Looked what happened to RV when he went over to MXGP. Granted that wasn't an RV in his prime anymore but still. The top GP riders are some of the best outdoor MX riders in the world.
