After building my KX500 "Godzilla", my good friend came across a CR500 to put together. Once he started tearing into it he found a lot of nasty surprises. He's not yet a Vital member, so here's his progress thus far

"I got the 1990 CR500 "Cthulhu" from a friend who let it sit outside for 10 years. He gave it to me for free as long as I promised to restore it to its former glory."

The C should stand for crusty.

Have fun with the project, definitely potential there.

If you could theoretically leave a bike outside where I live (it would get stolen the first night) after 10 years you would literally have scrap, that bike looks in pretty decent shape. Looking forward to the build.
