Yup. He refuses to make moves. Waiting to pass people clean around the outside again..... wtf. He needed to punt Millsaps about 8 times and passed up the chance everytime.

Dungey has very rarely been the fastest, but he is almost always the fastest consistent guy.

I just said this in the "Tomas's Championship" thread.

Was it me or did it look like Dungey was a little hesitant in the sand? A few times it seemed like he was almost gonna come to a complete stop

I thought that same thing. Especially when he was behind Grant. The lap before he made the pass, Grant's line in the sand was gonna bring him in close to Dungey's line, and it's like Dungey just stopped so that Grant could have a clean exit. It was really weird

Bullshit... Didn't you listen to Showtime? It's all in the starts. 1st 15 feet of the track. Tomac is one Bad mofo so if Dungey gets beat there is no shame in finishing in 2nd for the title.

Exactly. I thought he stalled it there for a second

These tracks are also a disgrace for what kind of course a 450 should be racing on. We had one real track (Glendale) where riders could really use their talent rather than just ride around after the start.

Not sure what your title is implying. I think the Dungey we're seeing now is the same Dungey that has won championships. He didn't race any worse against RV. RV was in his own league.

Im not sure where I am on that concept. In many cases, people that are "faster" than him go to the hospital. In other words, perhaps others are riding over their head to be "faster" than him. Maybe he rides right to the edge of self destruction but chooses not to go over it. Perhaps his speed is the threshold?

If Dungey had have blitzed the 1st dragon back he'd have made a push for Musquinn. Everything he made each lap he lost popping up there.

Dungey is doing what he always does the difference is no one is pulling over for him in the early part of the main! Josh Grant looked over at him to see who was about to pass him and then he saw it was Dungey and he looked as if he was about to race back for the position but he only tried for a turn or two. Tracks suck when it's only about the start but hey it's racing! Dungey doesn't want to crash either there is no way in hell does he want to get injured and if anyone thinks his injury from last year isn't on his mind from time to time your crazy!

The start stats are not helping him since 6 races as it was mentioned during the show. Parking Grant, Milsaps and Musquin may have earned him 2 more points but also increased the risk to crash or getting tangled up in a start later. It was a bit frustrating as I was thinking he would get Musquin. Not the best race for him point wise; after the heats, i really thought he would gain some points back since he was well placed on the grid to pull a holeshot while Tomac was in a much more risky mid grid. What i will write is probably stupid but i start to think these mid pack starts are a mental thing to avoid fighting Tomac straight up.
