I don't get it. He looks awesome in practice and has good lap times. He looks good in qualifying. Then he just rides like crap in the main. It seems like he will run around 10th place then drop off and finish toward last. I don't know if he's not in race shape, makes too many mistakes or just has really bad luck. Hopefully he's just been having bad luck and can put himself near the top 10 before the end of the season.

No following you around, promise! Ha! Think you hit the nail on the head. The bikes seem to be good enough to last for quali's. But font see them finishing too many mains.

Im no Einstein, but I think it may be worth scaling back some of the "fire breathing" they are doing to those bikes. Finishing is faster than not.

He's made great progress. But he still needs to finish races. He has the speed, now is the time he needs to put it together and take that next step. I hope he starts putting in top 12 rides soon because I know he's capable.

Sometimes the only situation is a poor situation. I think he will finish up the year with them and find something more suitable for next year. From what I understand, he has potential and works very hard.

I'm not 100% sure on what it was but I talked to one his family members a few years ago at LL and he has some kind of asthma or something that really effects his breathing (from what I was told) they said there wasn't much the doctors could do but keep him on medicine that didn't really improve the situation just kept it controlled said some days were better than others. Like I said not saying its 100% true but that's what I was told by someone claming to be a close relative of his.

I always take a shot from my inhaler before a moto- works great and gives me a boost off the line Wink

Jerry's bike has ran fine. In Florida when he was on fire early he got extremely tired half way through the main and he has went down the last few weekends while running in the Top 10.

I take it that is sarcasm? I was simply pointing out that your statement that his bike has ran fine is not correct.
You contradict yourself. You say his bike has ran fine, then admit his mod motor had issues. So which is it?

Kyle Cunningham had problems with that bike causing him to leave the team.

Guys,

Does anyone know for sure what the real issues are with Jerry's main event performances? Is it really his bike blowing up every race or is he just not in shape for 15min +2? If it's his bike you would think they would have been able to figure it out by now...

JR is looking like a good fantasy pick if he can put together a good main.

Relax, Jerry is literally 3 races into his pro career. He simply got fatigued at Daytona and went down in the last two mains.
He will figure it out with more experience.
The bike Jerry is on is very fast. The bike has started one kick every time before that one main RRJR and every time after that on one kick. It was a fluke thing.
Once Kyle said the bike was losing power during one Heat, so as a precautionary measure they put in a fresh motor. Kyle's motor was then torn down and inspected. Nothing showed signs of heat damage etc etc.
They also had a small piece of black plastic from the filter being cut away that stuck a valve...not done by a BBY team.
While AJ was out west he was on fire during qualifying a few times on these bikes. He had a cam tensioner break once, again a fluke thing.
Simply stating that things happen when modifying bikes to perform.

Jerry is truly a quality guy, on and off the bike. He currently is riding and traveling with my rider Michael Fowler, and while I have never gotten to spend time with Jerry, I hear nothing but good things about him from all the north east boys he and I are tight with. Love seeing him do well, and happy he got on the Blue Buffalo ride
