I would recomend using Honda's own oil, changed my oil after 5 hours, put in the same maxima i have used for ages, at 6hrs the clutch gave in.
Tore it down and it was all clogged up, cleaned it all up and now it works fine

Nz and au mx teams run this . I'm told it sticks to the plates better . There is a oil starvation issure with the new design. Every second plate will look more burnt.
There is a mod some are doing , some drilling ? Don't recommend it till your well out of warranty . Or a full Hinson lol $$$$

We have one out there with 20+ hours on it now using Honda HP4S 10w30 full synthetic. Pulled his clutch all apart to do the estart kit in which the clutch seemed ok even though it it was a bit black. Know this though, the bike has had a snow bike kit on it from day one. And that is absolute torture on clutches.

I'm a clutch abuser myself. Old 2stroke habits are hard to break. So if there is are clutch weakness I'm sure I'll find it. I haven't seen any other failures first hand. We don't have many of them out yet either. We've got 4 R's sold and one RX.

Honda HP4S aka Ford Motorcraft synthetic oil aka private label by ConocoPhillips.

Honda doesn't make their own oil.

I don't care who makes the oil. It's good oil.

Still have some finishing touches (clutch cover, radiator hoses, black frame, etc.), but here's the current build.

Hi i got a question for you US guys. Is the airbox closed ? or open like team HONDA bikes? European model is closed just like 2015 and 2016Dry . I bought US style airbox so it could breathe better for my old 16 crf 450. FIM perhaps have a diffrent sound control.

Thanks! Now cycra offer a full powerflow red only plastic kit. I should have wait 1-2 weeks and replace the shrouds. Can't wait that snow melt here in Canada and test this bike.

I bought a brand new 4.1 titanium for my 2016 KTM350. The spring tangs weren't welded on. They made me ship it back for repair instead of sending me a replacement, and it took 4 phone calls to get a call tag.

I get it back after 2 weeks to find the mounts are welded in the wrong place and it won't fit on the bike, it's 1/2" off. They again refused to replace it, and insisted I sent the whole pipe in again to have it fixed on the jig.

I got so pissed off that we modified my bracket on my frame to make the pipe fit. Frustrating experience.
