So there are 2 place in my area offering leftover bikes, one place has a 2015 for 6,600 the other place has a 2016 Kx450f for 6,700. I'm thinking about getting one of them but im kinda of hesitant because of the air forks. They both have air forks but what's your experience with either bike? Or is there not much of a difference

For $100 more I'd go with the 2016, it's the newest generation of that bike. No experience with air forks though, sorry.

There is a huge difference between 15 and 16. Most notably, it lost a ton of weight. Get the 16 for sure.

The 2016 is better in every way. It's night and day. If you get the 2016, see if you can get the dealer to put the 2017 map in it.

I would gladly pay $1000 more for the 2016 that's for sure. For $100 it's a no brainer.

The TAC forks can be made to work very well.

The 16' without a doubt. It's a completely different and better bike. And once I had FC do their magic to it , those forks were pretty damn awesome I thought. I don't know why guys complain about them to be honest. So much adjust-ability on them you can do at the track it's unreal.

The 2015 is faster, more stable, and an easier fit for bigger/taller riders. Bulletproof. It would be worth considering with a better break on the price.

In this case though, I'd go with the 2016.

I currently own and ride/race a 2015 Kawi. I love the bike, I have had since August of 2015. The bike has been bulletproof so far. Don't be scared of the air forks, everyone makes a WAY bigger deal than they actually are.

Imo the 15 you should be able to get 1000-1500 cheaper, if not got with the 16 or even 17, rebates coming soon. The 15 is a great bike but almost 3 years old. Tell the dealer $5400 otd for the 15 see what they say. All the bikes mentioned great bikes.

15 is a good bike super stable really strong engine, negatives is that it feels heavy and big and doesn´t turn.

This! Jeffro has it right.
I have a 16 and had FC do my susp as well. They weigh 9 lbs less than a 15. I put on a FMF slip-on and shaved 2 more lbs.
I Love the bike! The 15 is a tank compared to the 16.

Get the 15 and use the extra $100 to buy some sweet monster stickers.

The 2015 or the 7lbs lighter all new updated 2016 for $100 more. That's a very tough call all right.

So I talked the dealer with the 15 down to 800$ cheaper than the 16. I hate the slimmer frame on the 16 cause I'm 6'5 and just a big dude lol decision decisions

Don't forget to consider resale value. That 2016 will be worth MUCH more than the 2015 in 2 years. Probably make up the $800 at resale.
