Milestone's 2018 Official Supercross Video Game should be announced at GDC February 27th - March 3!

Awesome news! I really like the MXGP2 gameplay, it's perfect for me because I only play occasionally so a simulator is a pain in the ass. Only thing which I really wish they'd change with the physics is that you always crash if you try pushing another rider wide. Apart from that I just want some two strokes thrown in for a laugh.

I can almost guarantee that this is NOT true. According to what I have heard, that code isn't just in a box in a closet somewhere. My sources say that the code from that game is completely lost.
No need to even entertain the idea and get people going, which is exactly what saying that will do. Using an old code from another developer is not going to happen. This will be Milestone's own code.

Personally, I don't want Milestone to cop anyone else's code. Their racing games are on point and improving all the time.

Yea I didn't mean for it to sound like "insider info" just they are clever. If I were a company looking for a winner in the SX game world I'd be traveling from office to office in India or wherever the reflex physics were sourced...trying to find who has it..

I enjoy MXGP2..I wasn't sure yet on the SX tracks they had in it...but I'll def give this a chance. They made some drastic improvements on each game so far. Anxious to see what comes out.

More confirmation this is happening. On the Pulp MX show, AC confirmed he had his face scanned at A1 for a 2018 Supercross video game. So that confirms the Pro Circuit team is in.

I'm telling you, despite being told in the past it was impossible, I feel confident Milestone will have everyone and every bike, brand, OEM in this game. We will finally have an official licensed Supercross game again. Can't wait for next week for Milestone's announcement!

Is it too much to ask for nationals to be apart of this game too?

The game that Milestone will announce, it will be launched in 2017, not 2018.

//Munich, Tuesday 7th February// Italian developer and publisher Milestone and distributor Koch Media have announced a new partnership, which begins with the release of the next entry in Milestone’s celebrated MXGP franchise. Alongside MXGP3 - The Official Motocross Videogame, Koch Media will exclusively distribute Milestone’s upcoming 2017 titles, including MotoGP™17 and an unannounced game due later in the year.

I think the game will be a DiRT 4 rival...

Most 2018 sports games are released late 2017. Milestone are obviously making a Official Supercross game by the video and also keeping it top secret. Hence the "mystery" game.

Anything is possible but I think we will get 2018 Official Supercross video game announced next week. It will be a while before it's released...Late 2017...But that would make sense for the 2018 title.

Just my opinion.

It would make sense for them to release it in November or December 2017. That's the time of year a lot of games are released and it'll sell well because the hype of the 2018 SX series will be starting around then.

A valid point tho is look at the MXGP games they are always based on the past year. Like in MXGP 2 it was released after the 2015 season and was based on the 2015 season. So for this game if it follows lead with their other MX games it would be based on the 2017 season.

Which makes sense since they were getting scans of the A1 2017 riders.

I'm not so sure this is what's coming. Think about how many MX games that have come out in the past decade. I'm sorry, but given the market and the way the world of video games has changed, I find it hard to believe that one game developer would be producing two games based on different series of the same motor sports discipline. I think the Dirt 4 rival is more likely.

Flatout, how old are you?

But they said it's an "all new" game and Dirt 4 has already been announced and isn't a new series. Christian Craig said something about a new game. cianciarulo now has said something. In the Barn pros video they went and there were signs saying "Milestone Supercross game" and the caption of the video said "2018 Supercross video game." That's a lot of evidence for a new game if there really isn't one.

Dirt is made by a different developer.

Maybe you're right, but I'm still skeptical.

Hahaha I didn't even know who developed dirt. I'm hoping for an AMA Supercross game!

Old. Lol. 46.

Yeah there is way too much evidence to say it's not happening.

Heck, that would be fine with me. I enjoyed MXGP 2's Stadium series quite a bit. Add a full license with all the real bikes, teams, riders, tracks and gear plus full season and career mode and I'll be happy.

In other words the MXGP game model with AMA Supercross license. That sounds great.

Both MXGP and MX VS ATV use unreal engine..

I agree, I think this is the big announcement milestone has coming. Mxgp 3 will have all bikes, riders, teams from SX as well in the game as it is a FIM controlled series. I don't think we are getting another supercross game but I could be wrong.

I would highly, highly doubt that. It's called MXGP3, not "FIM Motocross Racing." There's no way supercross would be okay as a secondary series in an MXGP game. I really think it'll be it's own game that comes out later this year. They just now started scanning riders at A1, and the Barn Pros video, I think episode 2, had the caption of "2018 Supercross videogame"

Looks like it. The next MXGP will be released this spring. I'm willing to bet supercross releases sometime around December this year. They are trying to push MXGP out of the way asap to move resources to supercross.

No, the article clearly states this a whole new IP that is being introduced, not part of one of their existing franchises. So this is not MXGP 3. It does say MXGP 3 and the mystery game will be shown at the show, though.

They wouldn't scsn Scott Champion and Chris Aldredge if Barn Pros to be in MXGP 3. This is clearly a new game entitled 2018 Official Supercross.

The Game Developers Conference starts February 27th so we'll know soon!!

GameStop and Amazon use placeholder dates when no confirmed date. MXGP 3 is due this Spring.

I've not seen any evidence of that but plenty for Supercross. So we'll see.

I'd have to think they're doing some kind of American series. Like someone already posted, AC said on pulpmx the other night that his face was scanned for a game at A1 and he thought it was something coming out in 2018. I suppose they could be adding him to MXGP 3 since he did race the GP at Charlotte, but from what he said I really don't think that's what it is.

And Chris Aldredge and Scott Champion of Barn Pros would def not be included in MXGP 3. And they are CLEARLY shown in the video I linked previously, guys.

It's a whole new IP, new series, 2018 Official Supercross video game.
