Funny that many here can tell what Herlings probably have to do better. He and Gajser are the fastest guys in the mxgp class, mark my words. En they are both that jung that they still could competite in mx2 class. So they have many years to learn. I think crashing is a part of the sport for those who aren't scared to go fast as they can and that you are when you are very jung...
Are you talking about Kim Jung-un? I'm confused.

Those x-rays are fake. Jeffrey never is very clear about whats happening to him, so how come someone here can have pictures of that. It wouldn't suprise me if the bandage is there by joke, also because he sounds sarcastic to me in the video

Thanks for putting that video! Cairoli is riding great! Riding that way I think he is going to do damage the first rounds and from there ride consistent and get the championship that would be awesome! but a lot of things can and will happen I just hope for a great season and that most of the contenders stay healthy

That doesn't look like the official JH facebook unless you know different ? The official one has a blue tick and I cannot see any post on that page about his injury.

I was referring to the Facebook post. I wouldn't believe every JH related social media post as there are a few active fan pages. I'm not saying he's not injured his hand as he quite clearly has looking at his Instagram. Let's hope he can get back for Qatar Whistling

He would be a lot faster if he didn't crash. He needs to rethink his game plan a bit and eliminate crashes from it. Being able to remount quickly is a good thing. But crashing will make it harder to pass in a sand section.

Stop the presses, the only mortal man who could beat Jesus Christ when racing on a sand track crashed on a simple sand whoop in the landing?

Jeffrey Herlings' 2017 season lasted just one and a half laps before he flew over the bars superman-style @ Ottobiano on Sunday. It appeared initially that the bike and his pride had suffered the most damage, but this dinnertime the Dutch Bullet posted a video of his right arm and hand in plaster to just below the elbow with the message "seriously fucked up" "getting ready for Qatar in two weeks time". The full extent of the injury is as yet unclear, but KTM rider manager Joel Smets confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that "Jeffrey stays in plaster until Monday for sure, then he will be examined again. His bikes will be in Qatar but a decision in whether he can race will not be made until the last minute." Practice in Losail gets underway in 10 days time ! So glad he ended up OK after getting squashed by a Van.
Yeh from what I read he was in a serious condition in hospital after the van incident. The kid is killing it at the moment

You've got to be joking - or, you've never ridden a Sand Track and found yourself on the ground in an instant.

Shit happens, especially when 2 of the fastest Motocross riders in the World are going at it, Hammer and Tongs.

The way Herlings got up, and his right arm / shoulder seemed to be hanging down, I thought, well, that's just fucked it........
Sorry, i was kidding. Inspired or maybe lead astray by the Macelrath thread. And Sarcasm cant be picked up in written text

Press release on mxmag.be

Red Bull KTM sports manager Joël Smets: "Jeffrey remains in his plaster until Monday. Then follows a new Medical checkup. His bikes will certainly be present for the first GP. The decision whether or not to ride can postponed until the last moment depending on how Jeffrey feels. "Last season Clément Desalle fought in the opening races of the GP's true the pain to grab some points. And to ride himself back into shape. Not an ideal scenario, "I can certainly advise that against Jeffrey to not do that. If you are not fit enough to ride, certainly at this level it does not make sense to start. I do not think that Herlings wants to do it, just to ride for a few points is definitely not his style. "

Hopefully the recovery of Herlings this coming week is going in the right direction so we still see him at work in Losail.
