I let my GF do the pit board for me once. She was just goofing with it the entire race writing shit on it like, "hurry up" "boring" "when is lunch" and the worst was "i'm pregnant, j/k". Never again did she touch the pit board.

I was chuckling at the messages pretty good through the race actually. It seemed to help keeping me loose and relaxed. Until the "i'm pregnant" message. That one really messed with me. That was on the last lap too. I dropped a spot trying to regain my composure. It was a money spot too which made it less funny.

My then GF (now wife) would put her book down long enough and wave at me from the fence line at the 15 min mark. Too shy to get out in the mechanics area and be visible, so I'd usually pick up times and pain remaining from other pit boards. She would help scrape mud off and prep my googles between motos so there were some benefits on race day. She is a keeper for a whole bunch of other reasons.
