The fanboys and the Stewart's are the only ones having trouble wrapping their heads around this.

Im guessing History made
Meaning the 1st time a 250F SX
Winner didnt get a 450 ride
Agian just a guess.
But also most dont win a c ship and then not race outdoors
When Todd Dehoop won the 88 125 east sx title for team suzuki he didnt have a team ride for 89 but late in 88 suzuki did finally give him support for the 89 season but no salary I believe.

He had since Vegas last year to get something together. If he wanted to be out there, he would be.

I remember all the shit Grant took from this board...I'd say his own plan worked best.
Look for Mookie to top ten Daytona out of his van, if a team doesn't pick him up prior.

Ugh, the vague leading on posts continue. I just don't understand why he doesn't just come out and say it. All this smoke and mirrors stuff is getting old. How could it end any worse for him? He doesn't have a ride and isn't racing this weekend so he is basically unemployed.

Maybe he just can't afford the trip out west so he'll hit Atlanta and Daytona and call it a season. Top 20 at those 2 events should earn him at least a mil a year.

So when IN THE HELL has earning points, and racing a motorcycle, and wanting to win races, and to hopefully, possibly win a Championship been unfair???
These decisions Are why he and other Mookie's will never have that satisfaction.
Remember Fro Showing up on His Strategic 3 Yamaha at the Open? Fro's, Magoo's, and GOATS win championships. And the difference is only the drive inside them to line up on the gate and win races. And frankly, not give a shit about who it's "fair" to. Especially when you have the means...
In the end, Thank everyone that got ya there, show your appreciation, and it'll be much appreciated back and also respected by fans and sponsors alike.
A "Class act" if you will...
I'm sure Gregg and Jimmy Albertson totally regret how unfair they were to sponsors for getting a 1 ride deal for factory Honda outdoors. Leading Stewart for what was almost just feet for the whole first lap. Sorry you guys had to deal with that regret... Must be very emotional for you both still...
Wow, get a grip... Moto-Journalist's and Racers alike. Quit making excuses for these riders.
If you're capable to Race. And you're a racer. And wanna Moto down...
Then for fucks sake race your Motorcyle...

Dungey, Roczen, Musquin, Anderson, Canard, Tomac, Seely, Grant, Webb, Baggett, Brayton and Millsaps. Who outta that list do you expect Malcolm to beat right now? Now add in all the stupid little tip overs and crashes do you expect him to beat the next wave of guys like Reed, Wilson, Bogle, Tickle, Peick, Weimer and Pourcel? I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but in my eyes, judging by what Malcolm has done in his 5 or 6 year career with only a few wins I believe he would be lucky to take top 15. People here are acting like Malcolm was dominant like JS259 was in the smaller class.

"Ooh he won a championship." Yeah, so did the majority of the guys listed above.

Entitlement

Everybody believes their entitled--- not !!!!
(Current generation)

If you want it, roll up your sleaves and get at it.

I see it here and every day at work. I've never had that attitude
- my dad would of whooped my ass or pulled me out of bed by my ears to do chores. But he didn't have to.

If I had his skills and family money.... I'd be out there giving my 100% and having fun and knowing he gave his ALL!!

His window is now --- use some of that pent up anger/etc as motivation.

Ok... time to move along, rant over

Mookie... You're better than this.
Remember when the only reason Riders would miss a gate drop was when they were physically unable?
I understand contracts, sponsors, and the Bottom line...
Just sayin though, ya think Danny Chandler Would have sat and watched a gate drop being totally healthy?! On a tv, or in a press box no less..
That's the Difference Between the Magoo's and the Mookie's I suppose

Someone better come finish up my bikes or I'm not going to be on the line for Diamond Don's this year. Just because I took the last 8 summers off to preperate it seems as if the entire industry has turned their back on me. My suspension guys had the nerve to charge me for a new pair of shocks and some fork mods. Even had to pay some Brit dude for a tranny! #waahhhhh. Off to Tweet...

As a millennial we are accused of being "entitled'

That word drives me up the wall. It is such an ignorant thing to say.

For Malcolm's situation: you have absolutely no clue what is going on in his life. Beyond that. He did roll up his sleeves. He busted his ass the last time he didn't have a ride. Bought his old TLD bikes and was ready to race. He went from no ride to a championship in very little time. In my mind the guy earned his spot. We all make bad decisions but I don't see Malcolm sitting out in front of Angel Stadium with his hand out begging for money. Where is his entitlement?

The truth of the matter is, in my opinion, he is entitled to a ride. I think a championship for a team should get you something. Otherwise, why is there so much pressure to win the damn things? A series of unfortunate events and decisions lead to him not getting one.

As for the word entitlement. I have been called that simply because of my generation. I'll never understand that. Personally, I worked 2 jobs while going to college. One as a full time web designer, the other as an on-call manager which required me to answer the phone and respond to calls from 5pm-8am M-F and 24 hours Sat/Sun. This was all on top of being a full time student. So that whole "entitlement" shit you are throwing around is horse shit from a different generation.

I really wanted to see him out there.

I am just confused. Maybe he had something together and the plug was pulled at the last minute. Even so they have been at this a while and should be able to put together a back up plan.

I wouldn't be surprised at this point if he gets looked past even if a few fill in rides come up.

In addition everyone loves an underdog and showing up in a pick up truck would have made him more popular than ever even if he finished 15th. Even if he just qualified everyone would have been supporting him.

At this point I am not really that interested if he does show up later. Nice if he does but it makes no difference to me if he does not.

What it comes down to is, even if was unable to land a ride. The Stewart family has made a crap ton of money, more then most riders. So they have the finances and resources to be lining up Saturday night. Entitled like stated about

Sorry I dont agree with their hold out for money thinking. You cant tell me they don't have enough money and resources and know how to dial ANY bike for SX? This will absolutely hurt his career going forward, if he went out as a privateer and kicked ass he would be EVERYONES hero and would get a ride as soon as one opened up or they would MAKE a spot for him because of his character and love for MX.

I agree with this for the most part but also am very disappointed that neither of the Stewarts will be at A1
