.......for you!

"We designed this gear specifically for the fastest riders in the world,"

That's why it's $360, they are only going to sell 5 sets of it.

Who spends that much on gear, not including the gloves.

Looking good = Riding fast. Those compression sleeves shake the arm pump. I tip toe around mud in my 40 dollar sneakers, but destroy my gear and bike without question in the mud

Since the fastest riders don't pay for gear, that's a losing proposition then.

well i must say this compression stuff to the design did not show up until S7VEN showed up on the seen, interesting to see the other companies slowly adding their own flair to the gear in terms of materials and such

Moto is a sport/hobby with an interesting demographic in that sense.

Or said another way, there will never be a shortage of people in this sport willing to pay absurd, stupid amounts of money for the "latest and greatest", regardless of how trivial the product may seem

Regardless of how long shift has had that logo, they've never used that design emphasis before and it comes after Sevens branding / image, a total copy of their design.

I may pick a set up at the end of the year when moto sport clearances that high priced stuff out....I'd probably be in for $150 for the set minus helmet and boots and goggles. If they have my size great , if not,no sleep lost for me I'll buy the next best stuff that is on clearance.

I doubt anyone cares but I think I may pay retail for Fasthouse Gear...........I really like the simplicity of that gear and the name really rolls off of my tongue...Smile

That's just some stuff I quickly googled.

There is heaps of other stuff that Shift has had that is just the logo on plain colour, I have a couple sets.

And this was before Seven was even created. So you know. Facts and shit.

Hey Dave,

Not sure when S7VEN showed up on the seen with it but AXO showed up on the scene with compression stuff in 2009 when I was wearing it. AXO never marketed it properly ot it may just have been a few years ahead of its time. PS. I still wear the compression jersey under my regular race jersey. Still some of my most favorite gear ever.

Man I remember Reedy ran a butt patch with twentytwo written the same way as Seven is written just after it released.. I'm assuming it was a shot from the Shift designers more than from Chad himself haha.. There was a pic but I can't find it

Not a single one of those kits resemble anything near 7's designs which mirror the latest shift releases. Nice try though.

hahaha, what the fuck are you talking about.

Your exact quote: "Regardless of how long shift has had that logo, they've never used that design emphasis before and it comes after Sevens branding / image, a total copy of their design."

Every single one of those images has the same massive logo emblazoned across his chest, his legs, his arms etc and the logo even pre-dates Reed wearing it, let alone Seven's est. date after that.

And while we're at it, using the term "mirror" implies an order. So in that sense, your second post is correct – contrary to your first post – Shift had "that logo" first.

Meh, Fox Legion costs 400€ a set here

Everybody talking about copying seven..... They didn't copy seven. It's just a new trend in the moto scene that gear gets a little more slimfit.

t

I'm just psyched this trend is over with and we are less interested in trying to look punk rock and more interested in *being* punk rock.

Ill disagree somewhat on that one. its well proven upselling to weekend warrior wannabees is a successfull marketing strategy.

Can you say "KTM Factory Edition ( or A kit forks )? sure ya can. I knew ya could."

Who decides what a ridiculous amount is?

There will never be a shortage of people who scrutinize how others spend their money on a motocross forum.
