Honestly, I don't really understand the motivation for the full wall. It is probably safer in a crash but in every other way it just makes the vehicle less versatile and if I was really that concerned for my safety, I probably wouldn't ride moto.
The other issue I had with a full wall is figuring out how to heat the space. I wouldn't want to be in that small of a space with the propane heater so my setup lets me put the heater all the way in the back. Any fumes from that also leave through the vent, while I still get most of its heat, meanwhile breathing fresh air from the front.

It's been a difficult week. I’m struggling with this emotionally as well as physically, while the doctors try to get my pain under control. Finally though, I’m off all IV pain medicine, and it looks like tomorrow morning I will be flown back to Colorado where I will begin the long process of rehab. I will eventually be at Craig Hospital in Denver, but will have to wait a few weeks before going there in order to allow my wrist to heal; it was also broken in the accident and is not yet able to bear weight.
As far as details…In the crash my spinal cord was not cut and neither was the sack that contains the fluid surrounding the spinal cord. I have felt some nerve sensations from time to time, and I also think I have got my legs to move just a tiny bit on two separate occasions. I’m just hoping and hoping that this isn’t permanent. I’ve left out the name of the track, because there's no reason to give them bad press. This could have happened anywhere. I also don’t really want to talk about the crash itself all that much.
I do have insurance, and so far most things have been covered, but I’ve started a Go-Fund-Me to help raise some money for some equipment I’ll require, the handicapped accessible renovations that my place will need, and the care I’ve received that hasn't been covered. If you've enjoyed following the progress of my van build on VitalMX, and feel like making a contribution, it would really mean a lot to me. This is a kinda shitty ending to what had been a really happy story of building a motovan and the bliss of cruising Cali with no fixed agenda. Thanks for all your interest and all your support.

Stay strong and fight with every ounce of strength you have to regain movement and keep us posted about your progress.
I probably couldn't afford it, but how much are you thinking for the van? Any idea how much money you have in it?
Let me know what I can do to help. Already sent a small donation, but if you need any resources or knowledge PM me.
I have some questions, I don't expect you to answer them. I just want to make sure you have the best resources/knowlege available to you NOW.
What was the initial course of action? Any treatment using ice packs? Drugs (not for pain)? Anything else to help limit the initial swelling?
Are you going to get surgery to put hardware in your back? What have the doctors advised along those lines?
What hospital are you in now? It needs to be one capable of handling spinal/neuro care. These first days/weeks/months are the most important.
Are you mobile at all, or in bed 24/7? If you are mobile, are you in a hard plastic "clamshell" back brace? (I doubt you should be mobile, but that maybe depended on weather you have hardware or not)
Do the staff keep you changing positions? You DO NOT want to get any bed sores, pneumonia, blood clots, or any unnecessary complications.
How is your breathing/O2 levels? Is it assisted in any way? (Your injury is low enough it shouldn't be affected but if you have ANY difficulty breathing tell someone right away).
From there Craig Hospital in Denver is a great facility.
Keep us posted an let us know if I can help.
Keep strong brother!
edit: I saw more info in the gofundme update, but I'll leave the questions as they were more rhetorical anyway.
If you want to post how to send you a card at the hospital (or some get well goodies), I'd love to send you something.

I cannot help financially, but if there is anything you need as far as equipment to goes, I am a (new) fabricator and would be happy to build something and send it your way. Could be something small, aluminum or stainless, whatever you might need while adjusting to your new life.

I have also loved following this thread and your build, gave me some awesome ideas for my motovan.
My prayers are with you for a full recovery.
From your descriptions of the SC and the injury, I would take hope that things/movements come back to you...
Your article on the van was pretty damn sick bro.......I was envious that you were chasing your dream. . .
I did a bit of that back in the day. :-)
Heads up man, fight.
PS
Prayers for your recovery. I lurk on Vital non stop and happen to read through your moto van build and was heart broken to see your latest posts.
A small blessing that Craig Hospital is near your home. My wife and I have volunteered there with our Great Dane therapy dog and have friends who worked there and know you are in very good hands.
Truly wishing you a speedy and full recovery.

Long journey ahead but from what you said there might be a chance for full recovery. Wishing you the best.
