Really nice job and thanks for sharing your ride. Also, I had no idea Finland had indoor motocross tracks, that's awesome! Next time my wife and I visit her family in Finland I have to check one of these indoor tracks out. Again great job on your bike and thanks for sharing!

How did you go with the PKW 38 carburettor, was their any other modifications you had to make so it didn't bog?
I also just started a resto any advice on obtaining OEM parts. Cheers Shane

There is a Suzuki Factory team guide how to do it. Here's the article:

Very nice build, nice to add parts subsequently as they come Smile

Are you sure the right frame guard is mounted correctly? Looks like it should be turned 180 degrees with the logo part covering the master cylinder?

Great work.
Restoring a bike to your own vision brings a personal satisfaction that i never had with anything else. The part that made it pure for me isn't other peoples comments but my own opinion. How good it ran helped too
How does your RM work with the suzuki mods done to it? I would think it rips

Regarding that 38MM carb upgrade "LD" asked about, I did this mod back in 2015 and there were signficant gains when coupled with a VForce reed, but as I am older now and not so light (nowhere near the 150lbs I should be for riding a 125, I did the 144 big bore kit on my 90 RM125 and it made a significant difference (no replacement for displacement), so if you no longer fit the weight range then I highly recommend the 144cc kit coupled with the 38mm carb...unbeliveble gut and the overev is not bad either....

Instead of VForce reeds I would buy Boyesen Rad Valve.

I probably will try the Boyesen Rad Valve at some point just to compare the differences, but there is another reed cage that works really well (at least on the bikes I've used it on...roughly 4 different bikes) and that the Mossbargar). It's an 8 petal reed that I used a few years ago when I was racing nationals (throttle response was unabelivable). They cost around $130 USD. I have not tried them on my 1990 RM125 but will do a comparison with them against the Rad Valve & VForce3 at some point. I recently installed the Mossbargers on my RZ500 but just haven't had time to jet it out (if ever a bike needed better throttle response these old RZs do). But the results on my 90 RM will likely be different as I have an Eric Gorr 144cc big bore kit on my bike and the gains are just unbelievable when I compare it to the bike when it was a 125.

It is this one but you need to modify it to make it fit:

The part number for the air filter box hood is 13741-27C10-000
Try www.partzilla.com or www.cmsnl.com
I bought mine via local Suzuki parts dealer.

Bike looks great. I'm building an 89' for VMX with a 92' cylinder that Eric Gorr did the 144 mod and some mild port work. The power valves that came with the bike are junked and replacements are hard to come by. What do you know about year-to-year parts interchangeability as far as the power valves / guides go? Do you happen to have any suggestions on where I can find them? Ebay is hit-or-miss...

I love this. I’m doing a rebuild on a 1992 rm 125 as well and I have a couple questions. Where did you get the radiators. The ones the dude who I bought the bike from gave me almost fit but mine on the side where the cap is, the little nozzle that comes out was in the wrong place. And also how much were they. Thanks for reading my huge paragraph lol.
