We have about 20 of us heading down to Florida after christmas to take up some of your warm weather and do some riding. Last year we came down and rode WW Ranch, Pax and Monster Mountain and had a great time.

We spent a boatload of money last year staying at hotels and are hoping to find some good prices on a big condo we could stay planted at for the week. I have a few questions.

What area would you suggest staying where we could have the most riding options?

Also any opinions on a condo or weekly rental of some sort would be great.....Thanks

Try AirBnB? You could find a whole house I'm sure.

A good spot would be Orlando area. Puts you closest to most tracks.

Not sure on how the pricing would compare, but have you considered renting and RV and staying at a track?

Hardrock MX is a pretty cool place to camp and ride at, and it's within a couple hours of about 3 or 4 other tracks

X2, dead center of the state with great tracks in every direction. Lots of other things to do also.

Watch out around Hardrock. Buddy of ours who's friends with the owner said people's trailers got robbed basically every weekend this past January or so. Haven't heard recent news but it was sketchy around that time.

I would stay around Orlando. I live right outside of Orlando(st cloud) and there are quite a few tracks within 2 hours. About the only track I can't get to is ww which is around 3. Plenty of non moto to do as well.

guess it depends on what tracks you want to hit. Jax has WW, Bostwick, Pax, Waldo, North Fl MX, Dirt Farm all within in an hours and a whole lots less traffic then Orlando.

If you want to ride more south I would see if you could find something in Daytona, seems they should have set ups with vacation type rentals.

Also take a look at the Winter Am series, racing on Gatorback new track "Diamond Back" new years weekend...

I'm in the property management and rental business in Ormond Beach Fl and also ride every week.. The rental market is very strong right now so you probably will end up basing your rental location on mostly availability. The Daytona/Ormond area would be the best spot in my opinion followed closely by St Augustine do to price and availability. Also would be close to Pax, Orlando, Bostwick and not too far from some other very good tracks as mentioned.

Orlando and Bostwick have been adding lots of clay lately and are really good right now. Most tracks will be open almost every day for the week after Christmas. Good luck with your trip down!

Orlando area is best, no doubt. To the west of Orlando you have Tampa MX, Dade City to the east you have Bithlo (Orlando MX) and to the NE of that, you have WW

I live to the east, near the Beach, in the Cocoa Beach area, due east of Orlando, and I can drive to any one of them within a couple hours, Bithlo being the closest at like 30 minutes.

At same time, you can find plenty of Airbnb or rental condos or homes near the beach, allowing you a lot of options on things to do, from just going to the beach, learning to surf or stand up paddleboard, kite surf, deep sea fishing, there's a gambling boat to go party on some, lakes to fish in and a piers to fish off of (if you're into fishing) and then Orlando's theme parks are under or about an hour away.

Coming from Iowa, our cold ain't nothing like your cold, and you'll laugh at us Floridians, as we bundle up like it's minus 10, when it's really 50o

Renner lives on the west side, near Tampa. I try to keep the Renner's as far away as possible for personal safety.

It would have to be a monstrous RV, or a convoy of them, to accommodate twenty people. Probably not going to be the most cost efficient method, but options will be limited with such a large group. Not many homes sleep twenty. How about a cabin style motel property, where you could have your own neighborhood for a week?

I just spent a month down there on vacation. Bithlo, Bartow and Florida Tracks and Trails were pretty fun.

I say find a spot in Ocala. You will be close to ton of tracks like Hard Rock, Waldo, Dade City, WW, Bithlo, ect. And it is a lot cheaper to find a place to stay.

We have been going down for the last 3 years now from Ontario, Canada. The first year we rented a motorhome and 8 of us stayed at hardrock, it was ok but not the best for room and we were basically stuck at the one track for the week. Also it ended up costing us over $300 each to rent. Now we rent a giant house in Davenport that sleeps 18 and has a pool, hot tub, bbq, large tv etc... and it costs $1800 for the week! We stop at Pax on the Saturday before we get to the house, Sunday we go to FTT, Monday to Friday you have Orlando, Bithlo, Hardrock and Croom. Also if you want to ride at night you have Tampa on Wednesday and Dade City on Thursday.

North Florida is where it's at. Bostwick, Pax, WW, DirtFarm, North Florida MX. A lot less people than orlando and also a lot cheaper. 5 really good tracks all with an hour of Jax,.

South orlando. Hit orlando, dade, tampa mx,croom, hardrock, bartow and a weekend pilgrimage to florida tracks and trails and possibly gatorback. Plus not far from the north stuff. Weather is much warmer the further south you go. Freezing temps are common near jax.
