I was talking to RV's grandpa at Red Bud and he told me that RV was faster than Stewart at the Kawi test track and that he thought RV would beat Stewart right off the bat. As you can see what happened on the test track did not carry over to the race track. I am sure Pourcel is fast but he is not worthy of carrying RV's jock strap at this point of his career.
Don't take this thread too seriously...

CP world champ prince of bercy and won his 2nd ever us supercross, was 2nd in the GPs in 2007 until he got wrecked pretty hard to compare from then on when one guy is told he will never race again and the other is racing and riding every day. for me CP is every bit as good as rv, maybe better in supercross

ladies, ladies ....my, what a short memory we all have. CP didn't make it too his 3rd race here in America in 07, what good is being fast when you can't finish a series because of injury. Glad he's here but the frenchie seems extremely injury prone, kinda like that guy from New Zealand, (101)

Every good as RV in what, crashing. RV is 3 for 3 in national championship, what more could you ask for.

I think the funniest part about this thread is the fact that Villopoto's grandfather tried to pass it off on people that Ryan was anywhere near as fast as Stewart.

"I’m going to go ahead and make a prediction for this weekend’s race in Houston. The East series for the Lites class kicks off, and I’ve heard from a reliable source that Christophe Pourcel is flat-out hauling the mail. He did some final testing last weekend at the Kawasaki track and was beating the track record by nearly half a second … consistently. Ryan Villopoto held that record on a 450. Christophe has come back from some pretty terrible injuries, so it will be an amazing comeback story if he actually does go out and win."

Ping, Racerhead.

I am assuming you were referring to this year? No way Bubba doesn't own that one as far as fastest all time.

True story!! He was taking RV's lap times during the first practice next to me. I talked to him for 40-45 min. The guy is really cool and the funny thing about him was when RV was jumping the leap he would say that is the stupidest fucking jump on the MX circuit. He cringe every time RV hit that bitch. When he talked about RV's ability and what he expected this upcoming yr he was 100% serious

Excuse me, have you been watching the races? There is no way Villopoto has the fastest lap record at the Kawi test track. I don't care what his grandfather told you or how funny he was.

I agree. I am not a RV homer. Far from it. Being the fastest guy at the Kawi test track are his words not mine

Man, some people just love to argue. I know you'd love to be right on this, but...

They build a new track pretty much every year. New design, different layout. The current track? James never rode it.

dan readon, cedric soubeyras and adam chatfield... perhaps? lol

besides.... it says pourcel is from corona and metty from lake elsinore so they aren't foreign. at least it says steven clarke and davalos are from egypt... i mean, it's not correct, but at least it suggest they aren't american Wink

No doubt Pourcel is very fast. But, to make that conclusion...well...RV turned one second faster last night in Houston than Pourcel's best. Wait 'til they race head to head, and we'll see.

Post a reply to: Chris Pourcel faster than Villopoto ???
