There's no 450 MX. Suzuki wants a full time 250 rider on the bike.
I was told 250 indoors and 450 outdoors for Phil's gig, as well.

Correct. They'll have one dedicated 250 rider under their tent for Outdoors. Not sure if it will be the same 'other' 250 rider they sign for SX or not. Depends on who the rider is. Lots of logistics TBD depending on what happens with RCH, I'm sure.

I'm predicting the 250 rider will be Matt Bisceglia. He still has potential on 250s but also has proven that he can run well on 450s and will only get better with time. Furthermore, he and JGR worked together in his amateur days on Yamaha's.

Thought there'd be more chatter on a rumored 250SX rule change allowing more riders (former top 20 450 riders , etc.) to participate. In what ways would this be positive or negative or how it would effect or enhance future series changes (possible lengthened season in 2018). Sure seems like a few of the factories and their supporting teams have stepped up their 250 efforts this year (even dropping a 450 ride in favor of a 250 ride). Purely cost cutting or preparing for what's on the horizon?

Phil as a fill in for all 4 spots with 2 dedicated 250 riders for the season would be good way to go. With 4 sx riders he might find seat time for most of the sx season if they did ok him for the 250.

Previous to deciding he'd had enough, Josh Hill was really contemplating dropping down to 250's for a year.

The way JBone explained it on Pulp last night...Phil (theoretically) would ride 250 East and 450 MX along with JB and WP. The other rider, Matt B, would ride 250 West, be the 450 fill-in during east coast SX rounds, and race 250 MX. I don't like the idea of Phil riding 250 SX, but I understand that it'll save JGR an additional rider salary for SX.

Hmmm.... I wonder if they'll bring up an amateur for the 250 outdoors ?

Phill gig isn't a bad deal then, I didn't want to see him ride a 250 outdoors.

J-Bone made that one comment about how they're currently maxed out in terms of the amount of riders they have room for under their tent "unless we had another semi" he said. If RCH folds, this situation could get pretty interesting.

Who is saying RCH is folding?

Not saying it's happening...... but word is they're having some real issues with bringing sponsors on board; and sounds like Carey and Ricky care to keep the team afloat from their own pockets (dont blame them). RCH has zero riders currently signed. The whole Yosh jumping in bed with JGR for their 250 program really chapped RCH's ass too apparently.

Why the hell would RCH care about JGR having the 250 program .When it was jimmys team who was ment to have it in the first place not RCH . They announced RCH is the full factory team now . ,Yosh is the one who folded . Plus the word on the street is Bogle and tickle is already signed . Not 'zero riders currently signed'.

Bogle and Tockle have NOT signed a contract for '17. This I know for sure.

I was tol that Bogle was given a 'Testing contract" thru Suzuki for two months to get the bike sorted out. Which makes sense, except for the fact of him riding a bone stock bike so far. (That bike came thru Suzuki) I'm sure that RCH has to have parts left over from last year to build a race bike for him, not sure why that hasn't happened yet though.

No idea if Tickle is under the same or not, but I'd imagine so....

Then there's Wilson, who is also currently riding a bone stock Suzuki, but limited info on his deal so far, except that it's a "borrowed" bike. ML seems to have him as a 3rd rider @ RCH, which is something very interesting, considering that there's not enough sponsor money to go racing with two guys, let alone three. This has been an on/off rumor for a few weeks on the message boards, but I'm not sure anyone REALLY knew anything. There's a lot of speculating on here, that's for sure, but there's also a FEW that are usually on it. Wink Dean has said that his deal is close to being signed, so that's the important thing.

I'd love to see all three of them on the team, but I wonder where that leaves Weimer ? I really thought he'd have a testing gig/ fill in rider (if someone gets injured), but there won't be much money for that job, if it's even a thing. Tough deal for all involved.

If RCH doesn't get the funding soon, I could see the riders salaries being effected imensely. Or maybe worse ??
Suzuki has had some shit luck with race teams in general, but they have brought some of it on themselves with bad choices ?

They've already hired mechanics and seem to have the structure ready to go, but without riders with signed contracts, the team isn't going to be able to move forward. I'd love to see them on good bikes soon, even if the details aren't sorted out, they need to be testing soon.

Here's a hint, what gear brand do all three riders I'm saying will be on the team wear? Who owns that brand, what other companies are under the umbrella of that brand? Wink

Also, I seem to be missing a Suzuki RM-Z450 from my shop... Laughing

I was told this morning that no riders are signed still... If this person's wrong, then there's some serious miss-communication going on around the shop...

deano said himself he isn't expecting to be paid much in '17 and that's unfortunately very realistic but at the same time I think he just wants a good bike to show what he is capable off and that is what rch can deliver in my eyes, a good ride, not more not less. once he can get some good results, money will come and deano is smart enough to know that. I personally think out of all 4 (weimer, bogle, tickle and dean) deano is the most capable one of actually delivering top 5 results and rch will know that.

Tucker Rocky the distribution company, which also owns Pro Taper... Tucker Rocky recently went through a merger with the MAG group, which owns Motorcycle Superstore.

I wrote Tucker Rocky first but went back and changed it. LOL

I will ask a friend who is a rep down here and see what he knows also. Good for T/R to get i the game if it goes through.

Lots of useful information on page 4.

Motorcycle Superstore will not be supporting the Jimmy Albertson team next year. But you will see their logo support on a different yellow team, from what I'm told. Not sure if Jimmy will secure a title sponsor for his team or not, but I hope so, he's always been a good dude and put together a good program last year. Otherwise there will be a couple more riders on the availability list....

Matt Bisceglia's name has been mentioned for one of the 250's, which shouldn't surprise anyone. Bowers will not be on the other bike though.

But I'm not sure that the MotorcycleSuperstore/ Tucker Rocky deal will be enough money to "fix" RCH's financial problem. The riders will be on the losing end of this deal, IMO.

I don't see it as being enough to fix it, but it's something that can help.

So Jimmy helped get MS on the race team map with title sponsorship of a professional looking first year team, while also reviving the Suzuki 250 program (in house at Merge, while Yosh/MAD folded) and in the end JGR gets the factory 250 effort and RCH gets the Albertson's title sponsor? Seems about right.

Do you know if Tucker wants to get their name out in Supercross like Parts and WPS have? Or do they just want to get their brands out there? For the longest time, Parts Unlimited was the only distributor who officially sponsored anything and then WPS added their name to a team officially. Seems like that is the new thing.

Stamp Superstore with RCH!

Just kidding, Superstore already had a partnership with RCH for the 13 outdoors, unlikely they will be supporting them for 16
