The Cascade Mall is the closest mall to where I live, about 30 miles away. I've been there plenty of times, as have my children. Everyone's tired of these loonies killing other people, but it really takes on a new dimension when it happens so close to
home. My daughter came out of her room in tears because one of her close friends was at the mall and there were conflicting reports that he was injured and/or shot. Thankfully, he was not injured. Thoughts and prayers for those that lost their lives

Love how they were looking for a Mexican from the get go. Anything but a Muslim.
Rifle was a 22. Least powerful gun on the planet but still deadly.
Three weeks ago the school robo calls us and says they've arrested a student who threatened to shoot up the school. How'd they know? Snapchat. He sent it to some "group" text or whatever the f@ck they call it.
Sloan appreciate you sharing. "Close to home" here too.
Woke up one day the week of Thanksgiving 2010, and cops everywhere, coroner, copters. Street was taped off from one end to the other for about five hours. Could not leave the house.
Walked to the end of the driveway, looked down the street towards the stop sign about 75 yards away. A big quilt laid over someone in the street. This was mid day, around 12:00 noon.
It was the dog walker with about 4-5 holes blown in him. Dead. Three dudes had rolled up in a car. Two got out, the driver drove down the street a bit ,waiting for his boyz. The two dudes saw the dog walker in front of a neighbors house. They fired a couple of shots, missed him, and he took off ,running for his life towards our street.
He made it to the corner at the end of our block, but the boyz cut him down right there in a residential area. They made it to the car, and were gone. Took a couple of weeks, but the cops finally made two arrests. One was never apprehended.
Come to find out, dog walker had a little bit of history, with some drug trafficking and was also a registered sex offender. Must have pissed someone off pretty good.
About a year later, had a guy break into my garage, who had just stabbed a guy a few blocks over.
Shit happens.
Pit Row
I pay $72 a month to park in 89th street garage. Really pisses me off we can't be protected. They're beating broke resident doctors (student loan debt) and nurses who don't carry any money. Makes no sense.
I think I've been to that mall several years ago, but not recently. I think it sort of resembles the Everett mall, where sometimes it feels like it's in the process of being deserted. Could have changed the vibe, though....

This is an update on the situation regarding a threatening message that was discovered in the girls’ bathroom at Wenatchee High School.
A threatening message was discovered written in the girls’ bathroom last week. Once the threat was brought to our attention, we contacted the Wenatchee Police Department and an investigation began that is ongoing. Since then we have received additional information which we are investigating as well. We are taking the threat seriously and are following the appropriate measures to ensure the safety of our students and staff. We have increased security staff to help with the investigation.
Due to the fact that this is an active investigation, the police have asked that the exact threat not be released to the public at this time.
The police feel the threat lacks credibility because of the low visibility of the message. The entire message was written within a two-inch square in pencil in the last stall of a female bathroom. According to police, a female committing an act of school violence is extremely rare.
On Friday, we contacted all parents with a phone recording, and the staff read the same message to their students at the end of the school day. The information was also posted on the WHS Facebook page. We believe it is important to keep parents and the public informed on the situation, and will continue to provide you with updates.
This is a police investigation, and the district is cooperating fully. Any person who has information regarding who may be responsible for the threat should contact the Wenatchee Police Department at (509) 663-9911.
Sincerely,
Eric Anderson, WHS Principal
Our local mall went "gun free" after a local dickweed who had a "tactical" store in the mall decided it was a good idea to open carry his AR15 through the mall to his store. Lots of feels were hurt, news and cops were called, attention whoring was whored and ultimately he shut down and moved. The mall has also become a bit of an unsupervised daycare of sorts for groups of teens. None of it good for business.
Said the caliphate will be crushed,no details how on that but, a wave after wave of terrorist will enter the US in the next 2 to 5 years like we have never seen.
