SNOWDEN (movie)

Really well done.

Brutal. Scary. Impactful.

Oliver Stone did it again. I was pretty moved emotionally by the time the movie was over. From anger to sadness, it's just a brutal movie if you care about freedom, this planet, humanity.

I highly recommend seeing it.

I am curious .... are you in favour of Snowden being pardoned ? Did your opinion change after viewing the movie ?

The actor Hewit is getting some good rolls lately.
Cant wait to see it, although the background to the story is foreign to us foreigners.

Like most people, my opinion is pretty made up (one way or the other). I havent found that Amerikans are too fond of changing their opinions in the light of new evidence. They normally double-down on whatever idiotic stance they have.

I have no problem with whistleblowers. In fact, considering the risk they take, I feel they are extremely courageous. True Americans. Patriots. Hero's in fact.

So naturally, this movie didnt change my mind, it only reinforced what I already felt. In fact, the movie is downright SCARY at points. It was done really well in regards to explaining Snowden's motivations.

Yes he should be pardoned. But so much for Obama's "change". He's a scumbag politician just like the rest before, and after him.

Interesting to note, look at the credits after the film is over. Check the names of who financed this film. It's very telling. One could make the argument that this movie is anti-Hillary/Obama/America propaganda. Considering it's honesty, I dont see how it can be labeled propaganda but that is what some would call it considering the financiers and their agendas.

They make Snowden out to be something he is not, He's no hero and much of the movie never happened like portrayed.

Tend to agree, Snowden comes off to me as an operative, a face to let you know that we have surveillance these days. Even if not, he's still in it for glory first and foremost, it's going on either way, and if you harmed your countries operations that's not exactly patriotic in my opinion. Just a thought.
