I did the math. IF Webb wins, France will need a combined score of 9 or lower from Febvre and Paulin in moto 3 to take the victory.

If they r going to the hospital right now there is no way JA is back in time for the 3th moto, it takes them a half our drive at least to the closest hospital

Fair enough everyone has a different view of it, but i recall a lot of times riders have rolled a finish jump after winning a race.

If usa can throw away the Anderson DNS and Webb goes out and destroys everybody they still have a legit chance!

Okay so let's assume Anderson can't start and Cooper goes out and wins. Does that secure it or does Team USA need help still?
Team USA would need some help from France.

Best result possible for USA would be 24 points with Copper winning the final moto.

France goes into the final moto at 28 points, but that includes a 14th place, which would most likely get dropped. So if France starts the moto at 14, with Febvre and Paulin they would have to finish at least 5-6 or 2-9 if Copper wins. It'll be tough, but anything can happen, as we just saw.

Yes, just a concussion would be great. Let him sit out, we'll throw that finish out and Webb hopefully has a good ride. Don't want him to get hurt any furthe, but the positive is he finished before he got landed on, if you can find a positive in that.

Not the case at all.

France's throw away is a 14th, they're next worse score is a 10th, and then 3 and a 1.

You guys are 24 points best case scenario if Cooper wins. That leaves 14 points to be split by Febvre (a likely win) and Paulin who is almost a lock top 5.

Drop the gate sure, but the USA needs the exact opposite of what they've had all weekend.

Ok....

Anderson has a concussion and won't start the last moto. USA will pick up 50 points according to the rules...but can then drop it

We need Webb to have a hell of a moto and beat both Paulin and Febvre. And we need one of the France guys to have a "bad" moto meaning not inside the top 6 if Webb wins.

Sorry scottie, but really I'd like to slap the shit outta that guy.

I hope it's just a concussion, that was nasty. Anderson has not had good luck lately. Sad

My two cents :
We can't blame the Japanese. Everyone goes as fast as possible to the flag, it's a race.
It's extremely sad to crash this way, but it's Anderson's fault.
He will never roll a finish jump again.

I don't think it was intentional, but fuck man you don't ever follow in the same line as the leader when he crosses the finish line. They rarely jump it and there's a good chance they're slowing down after the jump. So if you decide to jump, go where he isn't. Fuck I feel bad for Jason.

It wasn't intentional. We need to remember we essentially have world class athletes racing and a few guys who could barely qualify for Loretta's in the B class near the back of the pack. There's no one to blame really, just a shitty incident all around. I'm sure the rider who landed on him isn't exactly happy with what happened.
I'll bet Notsuka is absolutely devastated

The Japanese rider got up? If he is on the gate i wouldn't count on anything.

Man is this doesn't fire Coop up to demolish everyone I don't know what would. Sucks for JA hope he's alright. I'm Canadian but always want our neighbours to do well.

.team USA would have a better chance if someone jumped onto a French rider in moto 3..

I dont think the lapper realized it was the last lap and jumped as normal.
If he was only one lap down and got lapped on the last lap then he never got a white flag. Used to happen to me a lot when I raced the 80 beginner class and they combined us with those damn fast kids.

That's actually a good point that I hadn't even thought of. He wouldn't have gotten the white flag yet at that point, so it is possible.

Broadcast back up for the final race of the day! MXGP class + MX Open class.

Anything is still possible. USA has to bank on an legendary moto by Webb, which in my opinion he can do.
