Great to see John Gregory coming on here to help contribute to this guys collection!, .............true classSmile

On JT, what is happening with the brand in 2015/16 in the US? They had the massive re-launch few years ago, highlighting their past heritage but then owners changed, management buy out and Art Director David Bailey told me he left as because the new guys just wanted him to sign off on their designs, not really interested in his designs, just wanted him as a figurehead for marketing purposes.
How are the new ranges received?, are they getting sales, chasing the younger market and not relying on old Vets who knew JT Racing back in it's hey day?

Yeah, I'd like to know how they're doing. Not great is my guess, the latest riding gear looks really mediocre. But I thought they really lacked a vision when they relaunched a few years back. Back then it was only retro gear... and no vision forward.

They need Marc Blanchard...

Saw Darryl Atkins riding in new JT gear at the track recently, it's not the old school gear so much anymore, looked good

Talked to him a bit, cool dude, and is working there as VP of sales

Call me nostalgic but if this isn't shaping up to be a Hall of Fame thread I don't know what is.

Cool to see John in here, check out this podcast (one of my favorites I've ever done btw) I did with him about the rise of JT Racing, the products and why he sold the company. Scroll down a bit. It's also on iTunes.

Just listened to the podcast,it was cool thankyou for posting.curious to see now as to what mr. Gregory will be sending pascal for his collection?.listening to the podcast i learned that broc glover was heavily involved with mr. Gregory and jt racing.well, his riding gear happened to be my favourite riding gear ever.here is a pic of me sitting on a friends rm125 in 1988 with the "glover" riding gear.i owned a yz250 at the time and even had the #44 glover replica jt als 2 helmet with the paintjob (very rare in the uk).i even loved my flexxon gloves! The only thing i did'nt have was the jt boots! I literally wore that riding gear out! Only thing i was able to sell on was the helmet and i truly wish i had'nt now.damn!
Love this thread!
Thanks guys.

Love it.

Ok just found out that pascal (the french dude) flew over to stay with john gregory for a week back in may.turns out mr gregory is a great guy who treated him "like a son" and gave him an absolute shedload of cool original jt racing stuff.from the pics you can see he got original bob hannah, jean michel bayle, john gregory and jacky vimond race helmet's.brand new scott boots signed by bob hannah himself! He also got prototype pant's and clothing in colours never seen or sold before so truly rare as hen's teeth! Looks like he also got loads of other stuff too,and all signed at the race's by broc glover, roger de coster and mr gregory himself. Unbelieveable! I'm gobsmacked! One lucky french dude!

Ah thanks uncle alan! your a cool dude. it does'nt get much cooler than bob hannah flying over to your HOUSE in person just to give you a pair of signed unused scott boots!!! Or having "the man" sign your stuff at the race's. i must admit (after seeing all that cool stuff) i'd love to own an als-1 of my own.......maybe one day? ya never know! Laughing Wink Wink Cool
