Hey don't get too twisted up Im just having fun. I love this time of year when all of the European countries get together to try and beat one American team at the MXDN or some of our top 5 guys that show up for the USGP.

Seriously I have massive respect for European MX and am grateful that guys like Hallman came over and showed us how to do it so I could enjoy it growing up in the 70s. We were in awe of the Europeans back then they all seemed bigger than life.

With that said. Our B team is gonna smoke um.



I think your b-team has a serious shot to be honest. I just hope Anderson keeps his head in check, and A-Mart rises to the occasion. You could get this done the same way you did when Everts smoked your sorry asses and not even win a single race. Consistency is key dude Wink

I have to ask, how much does it pay? It would make no sense to go run a Dutch series for a US rider getting paid to ride mx/sx. That said, sure would be tough to beat ol Jeffrey anyway!

I fucking love this time of year Woohoo love to my moto brothers on both sides of the pond. Seriously, if you guys across the pond had no interest in this, it wouldn't be half the race it is. You guys make it man, I'm just happy you've run a team every year since 05. My interest in it would be next to nil if you didn't, I'm pretty sure that would be the case for most over here, whether they're willing to admit it or not!

Well honestly I am a bit concerned about Anderson. I just hope this race isn't above 500ft altitude after seeing what happened to him at Colorado. I think its all about rising to the occasion like you said. After we won it in 81 I think every team after had the frame of mind that this is the most important race of the year and we have to get it done no matter what we cant be the team that failed.

My memory is not so good on Everts. I mean sooner or later you would expect a 10 time champion to beat us. I can only remember when Carmichael showed him how to get it done.

I was going to say good luck with the GBR team this year but then I saw your line up. Hey maybe it will look better next year. Tongue

Good stuff. Cant wait for these USGPs and MXDN. I was at Carlsbad in 80 when a local privateer named Marty Moates beat the best in the world. The excitement isn't what it used to be but I still look forward to it and all the smack talk that goes with it.

Lol my memory of everts is pretty damn good, I was front row baby Smile as for Team GBR, we did pretty damn good in the olympics so maybe we can follow that on? Or maybe not ha, luck isn't always our strongest suit at the nations. But I'm confident they will give it their all. What more can we ask? I'm gutted to see Wilson out, but I think Neil Prince made the right decision. And yeah, those 2 gp's should be very memorable! A lot of talent on the gate right there in both classes. Dude, all I wanna see is good racing. That's what made me love this sport. Not who wins. I'll take my hat off to whoever the victor is.

I was kinda on the fence about going to Glen Helen. Last time I went to the USGP was when Alessi put in a good ride but he is the only US rider I can even remember that was there now. I think I need to see this Herlings kid ride for myself. Im not sure but I think Im super pumped.

He's this generations js7. The kid is on rails. He's so far so above everyone he's racing on the tracks over here it's not even funny. Sand or hardpack the kid gets it done. If you go into it, none biased, just excited to see a guy you've never seen before I can't see how you wouldn't have a good time. I felt that way every time an American rider was in front of me. Forget all the stuff you've heard, even the occasional bad shit I've said about him, just sit back and watch the way he rips. Then you'll see the beauty that is Jeffrey Herlings.

I couldn't give a shit about how fans are politicking over these comments. All I can say is this - given these are two of the most un-PC riders in the sports recent history, I'm really encouraged to see how much respect they have openly shown for each others achievements and abilities.

If this was a race at Lommel, it would be a snooze-fest, but in Webb's back yard, Jeffrey's gonna have his hands well and truly full. I can't wait to see this race go down.

I was referring to the MX2 class Peely, Americans like to call it the 'junior class' or 'boys class' especially while Herlings is racing in it ! However, the boys from the MX2 'junior class, seem to be handling the American series very well, no need to send over any Premier MXGP riders. Great banter by the way !

All these people in here bragging up webb are just setting him up to look bad if he loses. I wouldn't really give him the nod against someone that has been racing successfully at the pro level for as long as herlings has especially on a track no one has even raced before. If webb does beat him I'd say thats really impressive but if he doesn't It wouldnt be shocking or anything.

I think this is a pretty likely scenario to be honest. I think it's just going to be so cool to see them race each other on a brand new track, it's a rare opportunity. Maybe one of them isn't as fast as we think, maybe they both are as fast as we think. Whatever the result it should be awesome

Oh Bullshit, I have posted many times how much better the AMA series is and how shitty the MXGP is.

In all seriousness, They are both good series. The best GP guys tend to but dont always (Everts) come to the USA, mainly I suspect for money and challenge.

RC did hand it to Everts.
RV won Second MXGP ever.
Roczen is dominating the US

So i think the real answer is = there are great riders all over the place.

The GP series is pretty, and the AMA is fast paced at a 'deeper' talent level.

They both are cool.

Herlings is fast as hell.
Webb is bad ass.

Will be a fun race to watch. hopefully
