Since retiring from motocross, Dobb has pursued a successful business career in sports management. He is currently mentoring his motocross protege, MX2 factory rider Tommy Searle, as he seeks to emulate Dobb in MX2.

Dobber even wrote a book.
About his championship year and the disaster season in the 250 class after that.
Pretty good read.

I was about to add another one of these 'who dat' pics, and googled Kim Ashkenazi (Aussie guy who placed 3rd in his rookie...maybe his only? year in 125 SX) and what comes up? A UK police report about him being arrested for drugs a few years back and a 6.5 year jail term. Wow.

That's old news. Think I already seen something about that in RacerX awhile ago.

Funny story on Dobb, he stayed with my family in the early 90's with another English guy, can't remember his name, him and my brother drove to San Diego SX from the high desert, I remember them showing up 5 mins before the 250 Main gate dropped, yeah they ended up at the border of AZ/CA hahahahahaah damn that's a long drive to SD Marc lol My brother slept a lot in the car when we drove places and neither of the english boys knew the directions, I think they were all 16-18 years old.

I'm about 99% that is Dobbs. That year on a 250 at Washougal , i "think" he may have gotten a podium....not sure. I just know he was friggin ripping it up! he was fast and very smooth.
