About Me
I got into moto in about 1984 and loved David Bailey. I raced through high school, college and on until jacking myself up in 2000. My claim to fame is being a correspondent for Jess Brin's Whip It website in 1996. I did Atlanta and Charlotte, and maybe Daytona, though the memory is fading. That was so much fun. I called Pichon's three story step-off at ATL as it happened and broke the Team USA (MXdN) lineup to Jess, which was early, and watched Doug Henry riding well in his first ride back after the back injury. The whole thing was pretty underground too, I remember some Cycle News guys giving me a hard time because they had caught on and were starting to do the same thing. Cool days to be into moto and the Interwebs.
I'm married (Gwen) with two kids, 5 year old Jeffrey and 2 year old Hailey. I haven't raced in almost 8 years since trying to remove my head and arm from my body at Lake Sugar Tree ... I do a little dual sport riding now. I'm tall like Travis Preston, bald like Kojak, and fat like ... a fat guy.
