As for this bike... Ti tank, improved air forks, e-start, skid plate... all cool stuff. Long overdue. Still wont get me to buy a Honda again...

Ti tank, improved air forks, e-start, skid plate... all cool stuff. Long overdue. Still wont get me to buy a Honda again tho. I'll stick with my Husky. I'll never ride again w/o a hydraulic clutch. Honda shoulda added that.

I didn't realize that. The leaked photos on that foreign site showed air forks I thought.
well you dont need to worry, you are sticking with your Husky Smile

I hope KTM and Husky will follow Honda and bring WP's Cone Valve forks to their production MX models

Is the rear shock actually shorter? or did they just move it down, keeping similar shaft stroke measurements.
And more importantly, if the shock is smaller, have they kept the oil volume (and stroke) the same, or is the shock performance going to suffer from the lower shock mounting change?

Not that Honda would admit to the latter, but some info would inform

Shows a shorter shock, but there is some dead space in most shocks. Did they use that up, or have to shorten the body or stroke?

Also, the swing arm is shorter, and the main frame longer? Is the wheelbase the same? And why the change?

On a side note, there is no way the swing arm is laterally stiffer with the change in design they have made. Unless they publish like for like FEA results with deflection data, I won't believe it.

According to the provided travel length, it's still 12.4 inches... So about 315mm... Between the angle, dropped down linkage, and taking up that headspace, it seems they were able to keep the stroke. I tried to get the exact mm length of old vs new when I was there, but no one had the exact number on hand.

I'm not. There was never any talk of it that I was aware of, and due to there being a patent on those, it's not exactly a cheap part to use. Considering how much money they're spending with some of the other big ticket items on this bike, a holeshot device would be a no go.

I had no idea there were patent issues with those devices, interesting.

What color powerband does it come with and did they add another muffler? I mean if two is better than one...
