Hello, Im new here, been reading for years....

Just a question for you all, as Im keen to here opions...

With two rounds gone in this season, People are pointing fingers at James Bike
saying it has slowed him down etc... shit the bike even has a nik name now..."Yamabog"

so I ask this, If chad was not on yamaha, where would he stand in the world of supercross
today, would he, could he..... ?????

Chad won his 2 SX championships with RC and James out injured. Even Emig said on the braodcast he needs to win one with James in there for it to be credilble.

I'm not the biggest Reed fan, but his ass was on the gate. Like they say, "to finish first, first you have to finish". Great riders come and go, he was there. That's pretty much all that matters. This season is looking good so far. Stewart's super aggresive and fast and Reed's super smooth and fast. And finally, some new guys coming up that might not be comfortable settling into the third or fourth place slot

There isnt a damn thing wrong with James bike.
IMO its a matter if getting the suspension to his liking.
Those Yamabogs have done quite well over the last few years.
Jlaw, Reed, Langston, Philippaerts, Cairoli, Aubin, and Coppins
Have all kicked ass on the Yamahas so i laugh at all the haters

what if Reed was coming through the ranks during the McGrath prime era?? would have ever won a race, let alone a title?? i don't think so.... he'd been tightly squeezed between Fro, LaRocket, Craig, Ward, Yogi, ect....

It may not be the bikes but I have noticed two things. Bubba looks allmost mortal on the Yamaha and Reed has benifited from a bike switch more that any Champion I have ever seen,

James and Reed were over 30 secs ahead of third place last week, there's nothing wrong with the yamabog and james is still as fast as ever, he just looks a little more out of shape in places. Dry

yep, there's nothing wrong with James bike, it's as good as any other POS Yamaha...

Seriously, I think the answer to your question will be based on how this season turns out. If James and Chad start splitting wins, then it seems to me that might have been all Chad needed to be there and win.

On the other hand, when they were on 250's Chad was on RC's heels, but couldn't seal the deal. I don't think the bike is a big enough difference that he would have won a championship or not.
