So this totally depends on your internet speeds and whether you are running wireless or wired.

That said, it is HD and it has played through everything smoothly. The interface is actually very snappy as well, compared to some other streaming applications that I have used.

I did the trial and watched supercross perfectly fine a couple weeks ago. Streaming is the future

No doubt, there is one glitch in playback. You can't FF in "LIve". I know that sounds obvious but if you hit Pause or "Start Over" a Live feed, you can't FF through the commercials etc. I don't believe this to be intentional, just a glitch that should be resolved. SO be aware of that.

If you come back and play the video from your "DVR" in "My Shows" then you can FF.

Good info here. I was trying to figure this out a few weeks ago and it looked like my market wasn't supported.
But I'm going to double check anyway.

Mine wasn't available either, and now it is. I bet they ran a trial in select markets, and now they've rolled it out nationwide.

For anyone interested in this option but doesn't own a PS4, like me, this Amazon Fire TV bundled with a HD antenna seems like the ticket (so you can also watch local TV stations like NBC, CBS, etc live in HD). I've already got Amazon Prime, which only makes this option make even more sense..

I currently have Time Warner (bastards) for TV and Internet.. Need to look into how much they'll hit me over the head for a Internet only package?? Also, my modem/router is upstairs; sounds like it may behoove me to move that downstairs in closer proximity to the TV so I can go the Ethernet route to ensure the best picture quality (right? or not necessarily?)

Pretty sweet deal. Works on PS3 too I believe. Pumped. No more going to the bar to watch races with no sound.
Do you need to have a PS to DVR shows with the VUE subscription?

No, you set any show you like to "my show" and it will save every episode, it will remain there for 28 days.

I signed up for PlayStation VUE last night on a 7 day free trial. I must say I was quite impressed. I already have Amazon Fire TV at all TV's in my house and had no problem getting quality LIVE TV streams. Also, it appears that they carry the local channels in many places already. I didn't need an HD antenna. Most of the local channels I watch are accessible through PlayStation VUE.

I'm definitely ready to cut the cord. I can get 100+ channels on VUE for $55. Currently my DirecTV bill is around $150 a month.

I will miss PPV and NFL Network, however I can likely signup for live streams of most of the sports things I like to rent directly from the provider.

If you don't care about needing to DVR any live TV for later viewing the SlingTV deal looks pretty nice. It's a tad bit cheaper. I think PlayStation VUE has more channels and it does have cloud DVR recording ability which I use quite a bit.
