The 9ers got Chip Kelly as coach, could he turn things around?......ummm NO.
The Raiders actually have some potential and are improving.

Yea pretty much. Cleveland has put some type of win serum in the water. Cavs won, Indians are killing it. Might win their first World Series! And hell everything comes in threes riggt ?? Browns might come out and be good finally !
Did someone say football??!!!
Hook 'Em!!!!
I'd love to see Moore get a real shot, he actually played well at the end of the season but the cards seem stacked against him ever getting any meaningful playing time.
I remember Jack Patera; Efren Herrera; Jim Zorn; Dan Doornick; Kenny Easley; Dave Brown; Manu Tuiosopo; Jacob Green; Paul Johns; Dave Kreig; and Steve Largent.
I also officiated high school football for 10 years.
Sadly, I am falling out of love with the game. In my opinion, the athletes today are bigger, faster and stronger than the athletes of 20 - 30 years ago. The game today is far more violent than in the past. (In the past, it was a "dirtier" game, but it is the collisions that I am talking about.)
If it is to survive, it HAS to change. Leading with the crown of the helmet, and the repetitious brain trauma it causes, will be the end of that game.
As for the pro vs. college "argument", I see that similarly as "men" vs. "boys".
Many athletes, at the college level, can totally dominate their opponent, and control the entire game. When that same athlete steps on the field with PROFESSIONALS, he realizes that his "talent" that had him head and shoulders above his college competition is no longer "good enough". Now that former college "stud" has to study the playbook. He has to study his craft (position), and refine the minute details. He has to eat right and work out; and if he takes all that SERIOUS, he *MIGHT* make the team.
Jadaveon Clowney comes to mind. He absolutely DOMINATED the SEC at South Carolina. I know he has been injured at Houston, but has he ever been anything CLOSE in the NFL to what he was at college?
I wish the Texans had a QB, i have a really good friend who flys their team plane so i sorta root for them. JJ is a BEAST but their offense needs help with a capital H.
Of course Aaron Rodgers is a hometown guy from just down the road in Chico, but im not about to jump on Todd's bandwagon lol though inside i root for him.
We'll see how the season goes, i would love to see the Raiders actually do something, i kinda like Derrick Carr. Sucks Justin Tuck and Woodson retired, they have a young squad though. Carr is gonna have a breakout year, just watch.
Pit Row
this is the year though, i can feel it. i put $100 on them making the playoffs and $50 on winning the Super Bowl. a guy can dream
