Chamberlain trophy goes too?

Paulin & Stijbos ride above potential at Maggiora. If I was Germany I'd be bribing Paturel to become a honorary citizen for a couple of years.

It will be once again an epic France Vs USA battle I think. Germany with Roczen, Nagl and Ullrich are right there when either one of the other countries make a mistake.

I know he's been hurt but how would Hsu do in a head to head with Ullrich? Haven't been able to see how his riding has progressed since moving on to a 250f.
I saw Hsu race some supercross last season, and I think if he's fully healthy, he's better then Ullrich. Then he's probably from the same level as Davy Pootjes on the sand (Remember Assen the first few laps), and guys like Pauls Jonass and his teammate Seewer. Maybe he gets healthy for the MXON but if not Ullrich is a fast dude too on hardpack.

Last weekend he was fighting with Clément Desalle, Tommy Searle for most of the race to end up around top ten I think. So he's no slouch like those Yanks here say. But will Ken Roczen race the MXON? Will he race it on a Suzuki or Honda? If he doesn't race those Germans won't be happy, but I would understand because he needs to get a brand new bike dialed in for Supercross.

Belgium has for the MX2 Brent Van Doninck who's out now for the moment. But I spoke with Hans Covers the teamowner and they were pretty optimistic about it, the doc told them that he would probably return around the Swiss GP if everything goes to plan, and the injury isn't worse then they can see now on scans and stuff. (You never know whats behind the door till you open the door off course).

Besides those three countries, you've Switserland with Seewer, Guillod, Tonus and the Auberson brothers. They could be fighting for top spots and be the surprise their in Italy. The Russians have also three good riders but if Tonkov, or Bobryshev or Bryliakov gets injured the team is immediately screwed.

The hosting country Italy, doesn't have that much luxury. Tony Cairoli can maybe choose again to race the MX2 class, to score crucial points for a podium finish. But he can't do it alone and, with all mine respect, the possible teammates like Alexandro Lupino, David Phillipaerts, Samuel Bernardini, Michele Cervellin, Ivan Monticelli. I don't see it happening.

The Dutchies will be a force to recon with, I guess. With Glenn Coldenhoff, Brian Bogers and Jeffrey Herlings for example. It looks to me like a nice opportunity for Herlings to win this Chamberlian Throphy, because that isn't easy and isn't on his record list yet.

If Tomac is selected he needs to start from the second row, that way we do not waste a good gate pick on someone that can not get a start. I say Webb, Tomac, JMartin

Marvins start of the nationals haven't been good but Paulin has been average on the Honda since 2015 and this years injuries doesn't make it better.

I think Marvin is coming on strong. He rode really solid the last moto at Thunder Valley. It will probably be, sooner than later, like post mid-season in SX when he was hauling. Barring injuries I think he'll podium before the season ends. So absolutely Marvin before Paulin the way it looks now.
I think people forget Marvin is in his rookie 450 season. He's only going to get better on the big bike.

At the moment, I would think so! If they can line up Febvre, Musquin and Ferrandis. In my opinion only the USA have a chance against that team!

can people see Roczen being there with him switching teams? I hope he does go. He's always on fire at that race.

Imagine a starting line up of Roczen, Tomac, Febvre, Gaiser, Cairoli, Herlings... That would be pretty damn cool right there.

No, i cant , but if he rocked on the Honda and won races.. that would be awesome.

I'm guessing his contract ends after the final National, as its a non factory contract .

Or after Monster Cup ?

My guess would be that the MEC would be his first race with the new team. Unfortunately.

Actually that manufacturers cup thing is in Germany, I bet Kenny does that for Honda.

They're absolutely the favorites. They're going to be really hard to beat no matter who we bring over. We could have Dungey, Tomac and Webb and it'd still be tough to beat the Frenchies

It will be once again an epic France Vs USA battle I think. Germany with Roczen, Nagl and Ullrich are right there when either one of the other countries make a mistake.
Why is that?
Van horebeek, desalle, van Doninck
That's a pretty decent team imo. Maybe not as strong as USA and France but definitely good for the podium

I wouldn't say "definitely" good for the podium. At this point, I'd say 1. France 2. USA 3. Germany (IF Roczen races. If not, eliminate them from top 5) I'd say we will see a tight battle between the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Great Britain. They could have some awesome teams if their top 3 riders stay healthy.

And hey, you never know, if Puerto Rico brings AMart and Philthy Phil in we could see them snag a top 15 O/A which would be amazing.

That could change if brian comes out these next couple of GPs and has some great races. He's on pole for the ADAC masters race tomorrow. Qualified faster than nagl, do the speed is obviously there.

Ullrich depends on if roczen is racing or not, he will not drop down to the Mx2 bike. He's got some things figured out now, he's gonna be strong (but of course nagl and roczen are always the preferred picks)

I have no idea if Marvin will race, but why wouldn't he, if healthy? I personally think the choice between Marvin and Paulin is a no-brainer. At the moment I don't think Paulin is even close to Marvin. But we'll see come September.

Non the less, if nothing spectacular happens, I can only see USA or France winning, unless Germany field Roczen (on a 250), Nagel and an Ulrich riding like he did the last moto in France (which would be the same team as when they won in Lommel). But who knows?
It was Nagl, Schiffer and Roczen that won the trophy in Lommel. BTW Schiffer was announced as the new Manager for Team Germany.

As for how fast Hsu is: Hsu, Nagl and Ullrich are racing each other this weekend in the German ADAC MX Masters race in Aichwald. After this race and the upcoming GPs we will see how fast and competitive Hsu is against the top riders.
