I wear a 38 in pants, and I bought a pair of thor gear last year size 38. They were fairly lose, I should have bought a 36. I had to tighten them all the way and they still were a little lose.

Pretty sure ANSR and MSR sell big-guy sizes. I believe some of the pants go all the way up to 50

Try Klim gear. It's no more expensive than any other brand, and, in my experience, is very "roomy" in the leg/butt area.

Troy Lee gear fits me well. It runs a little large which is good as most let their egos keep them in too tight gear because they won't admit they have "grown" a bit.

JT why is it you guys have big size pants but still only xxl in jerseys?

I realize the black sets have bigger jerseys but why not the coloured stuff too?

I can garentee you someone in a 42 waist isnt wearing a xxl jersey.

I'm 6'6 and close to 300, normally wear a size 40 pants and XXL shirt. I've been wearing AXO for the last few years. It's great quality stuff and is roomy. Their jerseys are huge, so an XL is equal to XXL. the pants have velcro side straps for extra adjustability.

I get my stuff custom made by Wrex Racing out of Canada. Since I am 6'5" and 325+ lbs, with 39 inch sleeves, I like the custom fitted stuff, just like my dress shorts. Everything is roomy and stays tucked in.

Glad to know I am not the only 300+ plus rider lol! Answer and MSR make the biggest sizes!

Bnagazina, just curious how much does a custom set of gear cost?

This Exactly I've been sponsored by fly and wearing fly for years and my weight has fluctuated lot but always been bigger guy and still go pretty good.

But I never understand why make few better pant options in 42 or 44 waist but then no jersey to match it.

Granted I'm trying to slim back down and hopefully don't need anything bigger then a xxl again but most the time now I'm just wearing plain long sleeve shirts with fly everything else.

It comes down to our minimum quantities and also the rollers (see: expensive) when building the jerseys. There are a lot of extra costs for making jerseys go up to 5X and unfortunately we don't sell enough to do the colors. This is good feedback, though. Would be interesting to look at costs on adding a 3-5X for the projected most popular color.

Fly gear is pretty true in size. I'm a 38 jeans and wear a 38 F-16 Fly pant comfortably. I've got 3 sets, because I like it so much.
I also have TLD and that stuff is really great as well. The great thing, at least with the GP gear, is that it is adjustable.

Thanks for the repsonse mate.

I pretty much figured it was down to cost and demand.
Maybe you could look at running the more popular colour ways into the bigger sizes rather than just the black.
All the companies that make the bigger stuff only do it in black. Maybe offering a different option might help you corner that market.
Just a thought.

This gear looks pretty good on a bigger guy.

I'm a "big rider" and tall as well at 6ft4 - I'm from the Uk and it seems to be pretty easy to get bigger riding gear over here.

I used to run the old Oneal pants/ jersey and the sizing was perfect, i found with all there new gear it's 1-2 sizes smaller then before.

I changed over to Moose racing, there pants are fine but there jerseys are miles out. I usually run a 3xl jersey and it's the perfect fit on me. I tried on the moose jerseys upto 5xl and it was still to small... Sad

I don't want to sound offensive, I know sometimes overweight people can be sensitive.. What about losing a few pounds and being able to choose any gear you want and getting all the health benefits as well? Easier said than done I guess..
